n67 - Why in USD as we're on a UK site with investors investing in GBP? Therefore a USD equivalent is irrelevant.

For what it is worth, the current equivalent MOEX stock price is circa 500p

Therefore it seems to me the Russian assets of Polymetal are being valued at virtually ZERO.

Not so simple... The rouble is strong for reasons. This is not a normal fluctuating market. A+B does not equal C. However the rise is a good sign.

n67 - That is impossible as the MOEX is Rouble quoted and not in USD.

The current MOEX quote is 384.2 roubles, up 5.0% on the day.

6.15 USD on MOEX today. Great volumes over the past week, means that someone knows something. Look for a sale of the Russian assets and POLY to be a pure Kazakh company with no debt. No brainer here.

While, yes, Putin is a/the problem, he is happy to go to war (& to send 18-21 year olds with little training), & he doesn't look likely to vanish this year. But on the other hand he is getting old. And if he decides to enjoy his massive wealth & his remaining health rather than die old & still working, he might step down one day.
