China has not funded any new infrastructure projects in Russia for months as Beijing focuses its attention on preventing a financial crisis at home.Financing and investment through the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) fell to $28.4bn (£23.6bn) over the first half of 2022, down from $29.4bn during the same period last year, according to a study by the Green Finance & Development Center at Shanghai's Fudan University. No money went to new projects in Russia, Sri Lanka or Egypt, all of which had previously been key beneficiaries of Chinese spending. The lack of engagement with Russia suggests Chinese businesses may be afraid of falling victim to secondary sanctions introduced against Moscow over the invasion of Ukraine, and comes despite the pair insisting that their friendship had "no limits" shortly before the war began.BRI was formally adopted in 2013 as part of efforts by Beijing to expand its influence across Asia, Africa, South America and parts of eastern Europe..... Keep reading the Telegraph. It never lies knowingly, just repeats prepared stories as part of the war effort.

During WW1 and WW2 this country imposed a blockade on German seaborne imports and exports, as it had upon Fench imports and exports during the Napoleonic wars.Their ports were attacked too. I now learn that these actions were war crimes. I guess I just have to get used to being a citizen of a war criminal nation.

Unfortunately and, again, ironically, the Internet shrinks our exposure and limits our encounters. The Internet, with its information algorithms, has confined us to echo chambers in which our news is filtered to reflect our own positions and interests.Constant exposure to our own opinions and to those who agree with us radicalizes our views rather than balancing them. Unconditional belief in our own absolute truth invites hostility to those who question those truths and are thereby our enemies who possess dangerous views.Verbal aggression is addictive. It debases the public discourse, creates a society of incivility, and soon starts to infect our communities and even our personal relationships. And it quickly leads to physical violence... It isn't about Ukraine winning, which maybe they are.It is really that Russia lost everything the day they invaded. Russia lost on day 1.And it has cost a lot to Ukraine and others.Russia will have to pay compensation, probably for decades.Russia has left Civilisation.Russia is Uninvestable.

Russia's military hardware has been bogged down in Ukraine as a result of under investment and negligible maintenence that's it's even hard to believe if they have a serviceable and credible nuclear threat. They're a lot more nuanced than servicing the turret on a t56 or fitting appropiate reactive armour instead of cardboard boxes.Russia is toast, Ukraine conflict is no more than a proxy war between the west and China, typically like all third rate powers stuck between two larger states, they're getting squeezed out. Economically and militarily.

Russia was meant to take Ukraine, a country with no regular army in three days using it's super modern capabilities.Western media looks foolish for believing it, Putin has been so such a successful con man, that he's even conned himself it seems.

Grain shipments out of Odessa - The landmark grains deal won't get off the ground until crew safety is ensured and questions around navigating heavily mined waters are answered, the secretary general of the International Chamber of Shipping said.

"Questions remain over how ships will navigate heavily mined waters, and how we can effectively crew the ships in the region to meet the suggested deadline."

Russia 'destroys' four US-supplied Himars rocket systems and one transport-loading vehicle for the Himars.

Ukraine only had 8 Himars to start with, with one being sold to the Russians and 4 being destroyed leaves the Ukraine with no more than 3 Himars left at the most.
