22/2/2008 12:06 | Ditto! Yes I have been impressed too with the potential of the selling "building blocks" approach. Its quite difficult to trade the shares though. selftrade do, Hoodless not. | forwardloop
22/2/2008 09:51 | FL, unfortunately, VLR's technology is worth diddly-squat [IMHO!] - they simply buy existing stuff and engineer it into commercial products: that's the theory at least. PYF is a different matter: their membranes are 'best in class' for DMFCs, and they've developed their own stack with an impressively high energy density. All my opinion, of course, and I'm not even a holder, though quite tempted! | ![]() jonwig
21/2/2008 19:18 | Pretty important thoughts, FWD. They received a $2m US govt grant in Nov 07 (RNS 02/10) - that's on top of one in May. In the interims, they said "... sufficient cash to finance the business into the second half of 2009". So end-2009, I suppose. That's not bad going for a fuel cell company. As for delisting from the UK, they chose AIM to avoid Sarbanes-Oxley, I suppose - I doubt they'd cut off the quote so readily. It might be significant that the shares aren't settled under CREST, so some would-be buyers can't. | ![]() jonwig
21/2/2008 18:58 | Sorry - I see Olibarrel article prev posted June 07 interims: "...the Company had on hand cash, cash equivalents and liquid short-term investments of approximately US$17.4 million." Burn around US$4.4m / 6mo So by June 08 that leaves around $8.6m left = £4.4m 62m shares so at 13p mkt cap = £8m £4m enterprise value for the technology looks v cheap? BUT might have further to fall yet? alternative technol stocks not in favour - especially those having to raise money in the next 18months! This credit crunch will be forcing co's to start thinking about future funding much sooner in the cycle. That has the effect of alerting inst to issues dropping the prices sooner, What chance of a delisting from UK ? Are we due any more interim "royality" ayments or research grants or income ? Just thinking aloud FWD | forwardloop

21/2/2008 16:06 | just back from an excellent CAMRA 'lunch'.... came across this on the first thread I checked on my return (CRA): tiltonboy - 21 Feb'08 - 11:55 - 4394 of 4413 asparks, You continue to be an absolute prat. Now remind me, where were you the prat when I last came across you, posting misleading info? As for Rhuvaal, I can confirm he has a decent sized holding, which were bought in the 20's and 30's. tiltonboy | don muang
21/2/2008 12:16 | TP please would you send the CRA note to me? skrapsma@hotmail.com TIA I have a modest holding in CRA but am considering increasing significantly | ![]() asparks
21/2/2008 11:49 | thanks, jonwig, all received just fine. CRA note sent, pleased to hear you have a few. Yes, they are not ones to plump it up....they have a machine 'in a leading drink manufacturer' according to the recent results.....other co's would have done a 5 page spread on that one! | ![]() the prophet
21/2/2008 11:09 | TP - will send shortly. It might be read as spam, as it comes from googlemail. Cenkos note would be much welcomed, as I've had a 'secret' holding in CRA for some time. The thing about CRA (not often mentioned) is that it's a 'simple' company ... "We do this and we do this. These are our plans. You'll hear from us again in six months." | ![]() jonwig
21/2/2008 10:35 | -many thanks for that, Jonwig, appreciated. -hadn't picked up on IDA before, put that one on my list as well! -yes, e-mail is the same, thanks. (again, not trying to plug it, but if you had any interest in CRA, I have the Cenkos note I can send you, released 2 weeks ago) | ![]() the prophet
21/2/2008 09:35 | -slightly OT, in that it is fuel cell related, not PYF specific. -you guys seem to know your way around this sector. its one I am interested in, difficult to evaluate all the diff. techs and some of the valuations look a bit steep, considering time to profits, commercialisation etc -but, have any of you looked at ACTA at all? -I'm not trying to plug it, btw, only interested in any views. -they have modest market cap (£17m), well funded, heavyweight partners, growing sales, basically they do platinum free catalysts for fuel cells. -PYF also interest me, market cap is v.low, esp. considering what they have spent on R&D -cash burn a little high -I know a lot of small caps have been hit hard over the last 6 months, but is there anything more company specific for the year long share price fall? Is someone offf-loading (eg a large holder), or has there been a set-back, or is it sector specific (ACTA has also been wacked) -thanks in advance of anyone can give any help on the above. | ![]() the prophet
21/2/2008 09:23 | Received OK. Thanks. | don muang

20/2/2008 16:51 | wassapper - thanks for the info. ITM also being hit.. With such a dark cloud over most economies, I wonder if people think it safe to get out of companies in this sector as real profit a few years away.. Looking to get in but not sure how much lower things will go.. | cyberdyme
20/2/2008 16:01 | cyber - Yes, but they will have burned a lot of cash since June. Shares in isues 57,365,704 see . This share price chart looks like Voller, another fuel cell company. Shame really. | ![]() wassapper
20/2/2008 15:53 | At 30 June 2007, the Company had on hand cash, cash equivalents and liquid short-term investments of approximately US$17.4 million. Is this more then the Market Cap? | cyberdyme
20/2/2008 14:56 | jonwig..... thanks for the offer .... I'll set up a 'junk' account and let you know that early'ish tomorrow morning ..... | don muang
20/2/2008 14:51 | Don - I can send you something ... 2.3Mb. If you want, post up your e-mail and delete it after just a second or so. I can retrieve it later. | ![]() jonwig
20/2/2008 14:00 | jonwig .... do you have any views on CFU.... been watching it for a while. Some positive RNS's recently but share price back to a low.... and today one transaction of 1.6% of total shares has gone thru. | don muang |
