04/12/2006 16:31 | I sold PYF some time ago 'cos I wanted the cash elsewhere, but I still reckon it has good prospects. A director bought my shares at 51p - from memory - so that is a good sign. I just wish I had loads of cash - how much is 'enough'? | david77
04/12/2006 16:24 | good newsflow throughout the year, so is this one falling on funding worries?- anyone know how much cash they have left and the cash burn rate? | callumross
27/11/2006 11:07 | didn't SIT go up last time just b4 its shares were suspended ? | don muang
27/11/2006 09:48 | has anyone checked out SOlar Int Res (SIT) up 18% today on almost no buys. Something happening | asparks
27/11/2006 09:16 | Anyone sitting on a loss? | forthurst
25/11/2006 12:47 | Also a buy in IC a while ago. These magazine articles are only useful as cofirmation of your own research and gut feeling. Most of the money I have made (and some that I have lost) came when something totally unforseeable happened. Subsea was never a goer IMHO, but may stand more chance now if it gets the support from the big boys it is hoping for. PYR is still IMO a fairly speculative punt with great upside. Like many AIM stocks. | cestnous
23/11/2006 17:59 | remember what happened with Subsea a few weeks ago straight after 'Shares' gavethem a glowing write-up .... | don muang
23/11/2006 16:28 | Been watching. V.good write up in Shares mag so maybe this is the bottom . In with a punt today | cestnous
23/11/2006 14:31 | Cap only 21M? thats too cheap IMO. | hectorp
23/11/2006 14:29 | The wee fuel cell pack looks cool, but clearly too large for this generation of mobile fones. Looks ideal for small games machines , portable cameras of the 10 Megapix ty,e camcorders etc. As said above no doubt small versions should be able to power phones etc. PS this company is sort of tipped in coverage by Shares Mag today. Surprised no-one noted this. | hectorp
22/11/2006 23:30 | "looking at booming demand" | racing demond
18/11/2006 18:38 | Don, me too, I made my turn as you know. With expiry in December, there is NO WAY I will look at them again, UNLESS we are in a strong uptrend. I've been burned too may times on very short dated wts. As for the ordinaries, well why not, it's a simple exercise in bottom picking :-) | chopsy
18/11/2006 11:26 | Argyle its Membrane. you know your research is very good old chap. trust in Argyle he not let you down i say. "In Argyle we Trust" | habayyut
18/11/2006 11:01 | Lordcoco - still very early days for me on this research wise, but i think it's impoortant for everyone to understand that we do not make fuel cells. We make the most vital component therein. the membrain, or 'the heart of the cell.' "PolyFuel disclosed that Sanyo, the world's largest battery manufacturer, and NEC, the largest mobile phone manufacturer in Japan, are both working closely with PolyFuel. In total eleven of PolyFuel's customers are household brand name consumer electronics manufacturers while several are leading developers of fuel cells for military and industrial applications" Re the phone, looks more like a PDA to me. Either way, Polyfuels latest product with 200 milliwatts of peak power (rns 7 Nov06) promises still smaller fuel cells " This level of power will allow a significant reduction in the size, weight and cost of the fuel cell "stack," which is a key component of the fuel cell system. | argyle underclap
17/11/2006 13:55 | I'll take a look, cheers. edit - so it is!! Must be blind. Surprising then that there was no reaction to the launch of this prototype, would have to assume it is the Polyfuel membranes being used. Perhaps it is because of the ugliness of the phone ;O) | lordcoco
17/11/2006 13:50 | lordcoco- it's in the 7/11 rns. have to dash, thanks for the post. Will look it over at the weekend. regards | argyle underclap
17/11/2006 13:48 | Argyle, have you a link wrt Samsung? I posted this a couple of days ago but got no response. I thought delivery of prototypes was perhaps a significant step forward though I can't gauge whether the underneath has anything to do with Polyfuel. Like you I'm watching, the first commercial model announcement should see these really take off. "MTI MicroFuel Cells announced delivery of next-generation fuel cell-powered prototype units to Samsung,This is the first in a series of planned deliveries resulting from the alliance formed between MTI Micro and Samsung in May 2006." Hope the final model isn't this ugly! | lordcoco
17/11/2006 13:33 | greek - for the time being maybe. I have both and am happy to hold both - they have different technologies | asparks
17/11/2006 13:32 | Seems I made the right decision | greek islander
15/11/2006 23:08 | Extremely interesting to compare the charts for PYF and ITM Power. Both SPs dropped dramatically of late but whilst PYF continue to fall despite all sorts of ramping and tips, ITM Power has regained 50% of its decline in very fast time. And this with only one vaguely positive announcement. My own opinion is that this reflects the relative prospects of these two companies. I have looked at buying a small holding in PYF but have decided instead to plump for ITM Power. | greek islander
15/11/2006 16:28 | happy I haven't got the warrants...... | don muang
15/11/2006 14:11 | Suprised this hasn't gone the other way. | racing demond
14/11/2006 09:25 | "MTI MicroFuel Cells announced delivery of next-generation fuel cell-powered prototype units to Samsung,This is the first in a series of planned deliveries resulting from the alliance formed between MTI Micro and Samsung in May 2006." MTI Micro use methanol based fuel cells, anyone know if they have a relationship with PYF for the membranes? | lordcoco
10/11/2006 14:17 | 2006 was already quite a good year for some investors in PYF. You could have nearly doubled your money if you'd got in and out at the right time. even if you'd followed the Mail on Sunday tip 10 months ago you'd have got in at the right time. Unfortunately the opposite is also true .... you're investment would have halved if you got in at the wrong ime when hey hyped up expectations. anyone know if Midas (Mail on Sunday) financial buy reviews his tips of the year at the year end? | don muang |
