12/4/2007 12:04 | yes, interesting link to Patents details... can only assume that as they're both 'benchmark patents', then PYF wanted them both in the bag before announcing .... roll on the prelims .... | don muang
12/4/2007 11:53 | I am crossing my fingers on the cash front, but it looks like we are within 12 months of the first commercial orders. What I would give to know when one of the big players start to tool up for commercial production as that is the key to seeing a return. What I haven't seen is the unknown costs require to tool up to provide a commercial scale production and if the prospect is within the next 12 months I imagine that the equipment required would put quite a dent in the cash flow and it would be about now that this investment cycle starts. On this premis I would not be suprised if this capital cost forms quite a feature in the statement. Thought this was interesting, they received the Patent on the Ion back in August 2006. | morgs
12/4/2007 11:19 | It's always a possibility ..... we'll get an update on cash situation in about 12 days. At last interims they had $18.6m in cash .... and prior to that they said about existing cash that "We intend to use these funds to complete our R&D programmes, transition from pilot scale to volume production capability, and continue to establish strong customer-supplier partnerships with the leading portable fuel cell system developers and component manufacturers". Even if a few $m is needed then given the present situation with PYF and with commercialization of products on the horizon, then I'd have thought it would not be too much of a problem to raise funds at a minimal discount .... and if share price does rise before any such time, we could see any fund raising at above todays share price In Jan 06 (albeit when share price was much higher) they raised funds at 80p/share. | don muang
12/4/2007 10:54 | Don - is it a fear of fundraising that is holding the price back? - how much of last years fundraising money remains, do you think? | callumross
12/4/2007 10:40 | The PYF preliminary results for the year ended 31 December 2006 are scheduled for release on 23 April .... so I look forward to that update (or any RNS's that might 'arrive' in the meantime...). | don muang
12/4/2007 08:55 | Morning Don you have hit it on the nail about being a milestone patent aproval. With todays news Pyf is now my top share for prospects. | oracle5
12/4/2007 08:47 | .... agreed re charts .... the charts I use (candlesticks & stochastic) are giving it a great buy indication too ... made some money on the PYF warrants last year ... will be adding to my common stock.... | don muang
12/4/2007 08:42 | oracle5 ..... as seen by decline in share price recently then 'sentiment' for PYF isn't good at the moment .... but they have great mid/long term potential. I think significance of this mornings RNS has been overlooked by the market. Therefore not significant mark-up. It was a milestone patent approval. Look forward to onwardsand upwards from here .... just a question of when, and whether it's gradual or something lights the blue touchpaper... | don muang
12/4/2007 08:37 | Lows have been taken out shoul retrace up to resistance at 50 pence but news is so good this should prove no problem.Chart looking great. | oracle5

02/3/2007 09:26 | morning....as the technologies are still being developed then don't think there are definiative figures .... presume pre-commercial launch then there will be a 'hard' statement re performance in relation to membrane type and size etc. if you haven't read this already then it might be of interest: | don muang
02/3/2007 09:12 | No idea at the moment - Don Muang might have an answer - he has kept much closer to these than me recently.... | unionhall
02/3/2007 07:45 | unionhall can i ask you a simple Q??? if i use pyfs fuel cell powered phone/laptop how many days will it last me before it runs out???? thanks | hamidahamida
27/2/2007 16:06 | 'Nice' to see the positive Trading Update today. Slowly but surely everything falling in to place for PYF. Presently only 6% of Londomn stocks are 'gainers' today. So with that 'neat' update then PYF are one of em.... | don muang
23/2/2007 16:22 | interesting article in New Scientist today on Fuel Cell Co Ceres Power: enitled "They'll cell like hot cakes!" | asparks
09/2/2007 18:01 | yeep, at least the offer is back to the original IPO price (51p)... onward and upward (again) from here .... | don muang
09/2/2007 17:54 | Nice volume today and a rise in price, could have turned. I will be a bit more confident once it closes above 50p though. | davemac3
09/2/2007 09:30 | Westhall Capital have issued a Report Feb 07 on Voller. It's worth reading because of its analysis of the fuel cell sector in general Recommends Buy VLR. And says VLR will be profitable by 2009 It's worth reading because of its analysis of the fuel cell sector in general | asparks
02/2/2007 21:12 | and just re-reading the RNS, then this looks 'nice': Jim Balcom commented... "With the commercial rollout of portable fuel cells imminent, coupled with Don's significant understanding of the mobile and handheld markets, the timing is perfect." so I hope he's using the word 'imminent' in the American language interpretation... !!! | don muang
01/2/2007 10:07 | thought they'd be more likely to be issueing some options for him .... wouldn't be surprised if a larger investor has decided risk/reward at present share price is well worthwhile .... | don muang |
