I bought Plus500 for the first time today at £7.06 - hoping that volatile cryptocurrencies generate more trades for Plus500

Lots of 0 market maker orders put thru at close of play. They are generally on the low side. Not a.good sign IMO.
I held off buying back until some results tomorrow.

This was the part in the IGG results which makes me believe we haven't reached stability or predictability....IG Group's revenues fell 12% in the third quarter compared to the second as the online trading platform continued to adjust to new regulations and lower levels of volatility in financial markets in the last two months. Revenue of £108m was generated in the three months to 28 February, continuing to contract from the £122.1m in the three months to end-November. The quarter was well down on the strong third quarter of £152.9m from a year ago, as it was the second quarter after ESMA's new regulations were imposed on offering CFDs and binary options to retail customers. But hey....I haven't got a dog in this fight....I've just been following Plus500 for a while..it will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings...

IGG

The total number of OTC leveraged active clients in Q3 increased by 1% to 84,200
7,742 new OTC leverage clients placing a first trade in Q3 compared with 7,553 in Q2

CMCX

active client and new client numbers have remained stable resulting in the Group having confidence in meeting the consensus FY 2020 outlook

With respect...."stabilisation" was not what I took from either of CMCX or IGG releases.....indeed I exited IGG because of lack of clarity on the future....

Nothing (fundamentally) has changed since that statement - CMCX and IGG have all reported stabilisation.

It's broken 700 so we need to get that back and hold it over the next couple of session to re-affirm support.

I think anybody buying in the 6's will be pretty happy over the next 6 - 12 Months

However, we have seen positive operational metrics since the start of this year, with New and Active Customer numbers and trading volumes currently above the levels seen at the end of 2018. The longer-term impact of the ESMA measures is being partially mitigated by increased deposit levels across this customer segment and falling churn rates.

Given the encouraging operational start to the year and the significant market opportunity, the Group intends to maintain its ongoing marketing investment. This, combined with the anticipated lower revenue, is likely to result in 2019 profit being materially lower than current market expectations.

Easy for them to do.
Perhaps pullback very late p.m.
Mm’s so greedily predictable.
