The Times researching/commenting on Biffa sale says, USA Private Equity are keen to buy UK blue chip companies and will be buying many more.

Makes PTEC something of a cert to be looked at, maybe another bidding war could ensue. FOMO crew will be diving in at £4.20

Well done management. Should have given us a Dividend or even mentioned it. All those who thought the results were good, well, you got your answers.

Sold out my holdings here in the New Year never expecting to own shares here again but after what's gone on i find myself buying back in.The results were positive enough for me to hold long term again.A dividend announcement would have been nice but happy to wait.

I disagree, its an earnings beat for H1 and H2 has started well. I can’t tell if the US should be doing better as they have previously not disclosed targets so Kickinking i would love to hear your US metrics that help you conclude that?? My mantra is that the sum of the parts is significantly higher and today by confirming a medium term target of €300-350m ebita i am certain that a sale of snaitech would be in excess of the current marketcap which i think is excellent. If this goes down today it will be market related not stock specific IMO.

I don't think they be received well. Not a mention of dividend. The US not going as well as hoped. I was hoping for better.

Barnstorming resultsShame no mention at all of any bigger transactions exploring sale of business or realisation of value, but very happy to be holding these at current valuation

The Snaitech presentation is going to demonstrate the hidden value of the sum-of-parts. Flutter recently paid £1.6bn for Sisal and IMO given that, Snaitech is worth £1.2bn-£1.4bn

The Snaitech presentation is going to demonstrate the hidden value from the sum-of-parts on offer. Flutter recently paid £1.6bn for Sisal and in my view Snaitech should attract a similar valuation of £1.2-£1.4bn.

Price is looking strong today in anticipation of Thursday update. They already said that figures should be good. If they reinstate the dividend, then we should be off to the races and leave the fours behind. GLH

Added am, month end outlook better than Evens in my book. Strong statement on trading with numbers on 22 not far away now.Another 5 weeks of discussions with various parties but no call as yet so best to follow guide of 3 board members adding at this and higher in August. 4 v good weeks of PL footy results and 1 v bad so since update trading looking promising and NFL start 2 days away Market moves worth noting here

While the PI gets to see their shares go down in value due to bad decisions by the management. Two directors award themselves almost 500k free shares as a slap in the face to long suffering PI. No shame.

Online gambling and sports betting legislation has been passed and sanctioned in Peru. Important for PTEC as Peru will be a Latam hub for PTEC’s live casino. On the downside Brazil has delayed its sports betting legislation until after elections so likely to be 2023 now before legislation is passed.

Indeed, every Worldwide bet/acca that had either Liverpool or Man Utd (or both!) to win will have gone down on both the first 2 Match days. I doubt whether this has ever happened before. A fantastic start for all booksRereading the 29 July update it does make some strong trading statements as well as the conclusion teaser : adding material value for shareholders Adding on rises on the run up to 22 Sept update looks mandatory

Added here, flutter and entains numbers suggest the Playtechs terminals (new ones are top drawer) are spinning pretty well. With Euro expansion to add to the future fun 680p will look a fair deal in time again

FLTR closed on the purchase of Sisal today, Italy's leading online gaming company. Paying £1.6bn for Euro €242m ebitda as at Dec 21. This figure will have a big covid online tailwind that won’t be repeated in 2022 so lets be generous with the tough comparatives and go for 10% growth 2022 v 2021 gets you to €266m. Compare this to Snaitech, with retail mainly shut in 2021 Snaitech managed €183m. For 2022 assume 12 months of retail in line with 2019 pre covid and flat online growth and Snaitech does ebitda of €252m. We can reasonably assume with a takeover premium that Snaitech has to be worth a similar number, lets say £1.5bn. Marketcap of Playtech as a whole? £1.44bn.

Massive vote of confidence by entain in Eastern Europe an area where Playtech has its core it staff. Increased use of Playtech terminals and increased likelihood on entain buying out part (or someone else trying to stop entain running the whole show)Added
