Something brewing. I can sense it.May be another contract miss?Or confirmation that there is no bid?Or statement from SFO that there won't be any more announcements before xmas. Those dips aren't being bought

OPEC to maintain production output unchanged for next 9 months.
This will maintain prices up and discourage any shale exploration which is becoming more and more expensive.
----------------------------------------
"Saudi energy minister expects everyone to stick with OPEC deal, doesn't forsee an exit soon.
Industry analysts covering OPEC in Vienna still widely expect OPEC to prolong cuts until the end of 2018
However, while efforts to clear a global supply overhang are projected to continue, a deal may also be agreed for a shorter time frame – like three or six months
Or the deal could be for nine months with more emphasis on reviews
The exporters reached the current deal last November and have already extended the agreement once through March 2018".

The SFO investigation is completely irrelevant to the Trading Update.

IMO the trading update will also include some news on the progress of the SFO which is the No.1 culprit dragging the shares all the way from 850p.
So any SFO positive alone might boost the share price by at least 20%.

dahad. I agree regarding a possible cautious outlook statement given the lack of Saudi wins or Bahrain win.
In the half yearly they state they must win more orders in H2 to feel more confident in their guidance for 2018, and remember the guidance that they have already given guides to lower earnings and revenue so ideally you don’t really want to be witnessing a further reduction. We obviously didn’t win that contract in Russia and also the one in Turkey which both out up to approximately $1 billion so whether that is enough to firm up the 2018 guidance remains to be seen

Isn't there an awful lot of bad news already priced in? Why do you think this is trading at 420p rather than 820p?

Funnily enough, I think the bid for AMFW by WG came in just before a trading update was due.

scooper72 trading update due 14th December. Hopefully good figures will come through for H2 but I am concerned that the lack of announced contract wins might mean some caution being expressed thereafter. Time will tell and, like fuji99, I would be very tempted to add to an already overweight position if it fell into the 400-410 range

If it's heading towards the 400 - 410 area, I will add some more.

Looking forward to the update as H2 been stated as the busier period so should be some decent numbers

It is only impatient people selling as a few wanted to get positive news not tomorrow, but yesterday.

May well go down if lack of contract wins is followed by a poor trading update in a couple of weeks time. Patience may be required - or else a bid!!

LOL. :0)
One can but hope! It was just the price action yesterday afternoon, that is all.
I am way overweight with PFC in my portfolio. With plenty of patience as well.
Have a good day all.

I think something is brewing ! Call it a gut feeling. See what tomorrow brings.
An RNS perhaps of a contract win ? Maybe Shorter's reducing ?

Bear trap earlier, many keep getting mugged, others are buying dips ahead of takeover, speculation is increasing.
