Great to see a steady rise day by day.But I disagree with lots here on the root cause.Lets look at the facts.1. No-one knows if and when a big contract win will be announced.2. With regard to the bid, there are no facts. Only newspaper stories.3. The SFO issued charges with regard to UnaOil last week - and they were against UnaOil employees rather than the company.4 AQR have reduced their short again by 17th Nov.My supposition is that the shorters are most worried about no company charges being issued on PFC - and are slowly buying back taking their profits. As I am very heavily long on this I also hope for a contract and a bid, but am not holding my breath.

Woodhawk what timeframe do you have the MACD over?

Its last contract of 700 million was announced early September.
Could we get another one this week and a bid - as a cherry on the cake - next ?

450p next resistance, me think..next news either a big contract award or a bid

Very positive if it breaches and closes at or above the 440p barrier.
Another hurdle out the way and another indicator that something interesting is "under way".

Still a bear case here , I do wonder where the rumours started from. Locks like a diversion to buy time .

For some reason the share price behaviour today is volatile and does not settle on one direction.
Is something possibly brewing behind the scenes ?...

No contract news for a while now, you sense a bid is imminent.

Very tight action between 436.5 and 437 for the last 40 mins. Going to blow one way or the other when it breaks.

Patience, bargainbob - if it were easy to do this we'd all be rich, wouldn't we? It would be lovely if the share price shot up 50% instantly, so you could clear off with a nice quick profit at somebody else's expense, but life's not (usually) like that.

This is how it works mate, 10% on the first rumour (dippending the rumour) and if the rumour is re-published gets hotter it will go again up another 5%-10% and the massive 80% to 90% when the rumour is true through a RNS.If there is no more news for the rumour the price will slowly drift down again. Unless something else happens, like a good contract..

Exactly only 10 per cent from a bombed out point.

Strange the bid rumours are not really moving the price .

If the price can consolidate and build from here it will improve sentiment and encourage those on the short side to close. Patience is key I guess. Speculation is a positive.

Disclosed short positions.

AKO reduced on 16th and on 17th.

No indication yet of any other changes after the Telegraph story.

Yes, I agree Gary, nice steady rise - until the bid - will grind down the shorts and stop them building any downwards momentum.

A Slow steady rise every day suits me.Better than these climbs to 440-460,and then retracing back to around the £4 level.Hopefully we will not see £4 again. It seems that the Shorters are selling out on speculation. So onward and upwards for me,from here would be good.Similar to GVC,s rise fron £4 to £9

I'd be very glad if it hit 700p - but it won't just because you say it will every 5 minutes!!

Woodhawk - In this case when the share price hits £7 I will come back with a very fast impulsion to overcome the monotony.

fuji99,

You're starting to get very monotonous.
