A contract is now due since the last one.
Possibly some SFO feedback then the bid.

Windjammer:

I agree with you on 395 or so, being the next low as it continues the straight line that you can draw through all the main lowest support levels since the initial drop to 350 or so.

I think that we will see 395 or so in the next week or two if not sooner.

Note how the main support levels of 404,402,396/397 are getting lower each time.

I have set a buy order at 398 to avoid missing out for this one.

However,I am also asking myself what is to stop this share continuing on down below 395 and collapsing.

Hopefully, the shorters and the traders who are making a fortune out of this share's ups and downs, will not want to kill this goose that continually lays golden eggs, and they will want it to bounce back yet again to keep the money rolling in. :-)

I think Cerrito was saying PFC is AQR's biggest short position - not that PFC is the UK's most shorted stock.Short tracker lets you enter the shorting company (AQR) and does indeed show that PFC is its largest short.

In fact shorts funds reduced shorts in PFC as the 5 most shorted are:
Top 5 most shorted (see all)
CARILLION PLC 16.7%
OCADO GROUP PLC 16.0%
DEBENHAMS PLC 13.9%
WM MORRISON SUPERMARKETS 11.9%
SAINSBURY (J) PLC 11.7%

As I said before some "analysts" have no clue on anything going around.
They just "write something" to earn a living.

Yes. fuji99, that's true. I have already made vastly more trading PFC than I have from dividends. Since changes to the (non-ISA) dividend tax rates, they're no longer quite as appealing as capital gains for me either.

Topazfrenzy - Sorry, yes PFC has a decent yield but the divi is negligible when compared to other rewards.

I agree fuji99.
Huge rewards here if and when bid or SFO news comes in.
And smaller rewards on next contract win.
And if I just had one purchase here, I'd be sitting tight.
However, I've bought at various points, all the way down from a purchase at 863 that I made before the May 12th SFO news.
So I'm trading small parts of my holding, as those individual purchases get in to profit and PFC is overbought.
Still have 80% of my peak holding should a bid come in very soon, but think it more likely that in the next few days the price will fall by 5-10%

Regarding the dividend - the next payout should be the larger one - approx twice was it was last time.

A case to sit tight:
Why regardless of what happens, there will be no upset or any change in sentiments ?
1/ The share price was battered since the SFO investigation was announced so its actual value reflects the extreme SFO outcome.
2/ Because of a possible bid by US and others, PFC will be plagued by a takeover
AS LONG AS it does not deny or confirm the news already in the open.
3/ There will be a feedback from the SFO anytime and the fact that they have already charged individuals is an indication that PFC responsibility is limited.
In conclusion, the share price will regain some ground soon and will adjust in one way or the other and investors have only to sit tight and let the story infold.
This is without mentioning any big contract annouccement which is probably due as the last one was announced on early September. So IMO the PI’s are in a win/win situation thus why I personally hold.

Looks to me like this particular rise has peaked now.
So just sold another 10% of my holding at 443.
Wait and see now.
Good luck all.

IMO assuming some action and feedback on either the bid or the SFO or both, may happen next week, it is today that one has to positions him/herself.
