20/10/2017 09:07 | Woodhawk. I stand corrected. I find it surprising. | bouleversee
20/10/2017 08:59 | Would any company initiate t/o proceedings with an SFO enquiry pending? I doubt it. | bouleversee
20/10/2017 08:57 | No, Amec Foster Wheeler was recently taken over by Wood Group - both those companies were and are under SFO investigation, like PFC, so it made no difference. Neither compay's share price was hit as hard as PFC though, imo. | woodhawk
20/10/2017 08:22 | If Petrofac were to be taken over by for example Halliburton, how would that affect the SFO investigation? As the company Petrofac would cease to exist, surely the investigation could then only be against individuals? Or?... So the SFO investigation has no blocking affect on any takeover? or? . | binarypilot
19/10/2017 14:48 | I am. You too. | woodhawk
19/10/2017 14:37 | Woodhawk - nice reply! Trade well and prosper, and I mean that. :0) | penycae
19/10/2017 14:07 | Penycae, thanks for your invaluable 'advice'. I'm making good money here, up, down or sideways. I didn't buy quite as low as 326p - but who cares? We've all got 20/20 hindsight, haven't we? Currently, imo, the share is oversold and due a bounce - but I'm happy to buy at any price below about 550p as I believe PFC is fundamentally undervalued at anything below that. I'm a patient man, and happy to trade the swings and collect the divis while I wait. "the time to buy was around 326" - LOL. The time to buy is anytime you can make a good profit. | woodhawk
19/10/2017 13:50 | Any share price below 415p is an excellent top up base. Another top up to hold till 2020. | fuji99
19/10/2017 13:31 | Personally, I'm loving this share price when it goes up or down. Ask me, why? It's probably because I'm a medium-term holder, not a day/week trader. I have a significant sum invested in here with a 2-3 year range in mind, hence, the daily fluctuations doesn't matter to me. I'm also busy with my job at the moment, and frankly, don't have time to monitor this share price day in day out. PFC is an amazing share price to hold, and I was lucky to have bought a load of these at 446p and 450p. Most people holding PFC are long-term holders who bought at circa 700p and above, and they are still holding long-term. The SFO will close their investigation in 2018-2019, and there will be a significant upsurge in this share price afterwards. Until then, if you cannot hold due to daily fluctuations, rather than infecting these boards with negativity, it's better you sell up and let those who believe in the company fundamentals buy in at a good price. This share price might fall further to 200p or less in the near future, and I wonder what some people will do to themselves if it does. Good luck all, last post on here for the next couple of weeks. :) | chelsea81
19/10/2017 13:06 | Woodhawk, the time to buy was around 326. If the share price visits that price again on a double bottom, AQR will have made another fortune on their disclosed position. I have no doubt that funds are closing some positions on rallies, but in the main the downtrend is proving hard to break. The gaps are important. It's not about prowess, its about past experience. I'm looking for 449 on the sb I took out this morning, and I'll hold until it gets there. If it goes south from here, I'll wince a bit, but I won't close. | penycae
19/10/2017 12:27 | Getting worried about holding these now folks. | lodgeview
19/10/2017 11:46 | Main concern now is the impending market correction and how savage it will be, top on Dow looks in 23174, let’s see how the markets react to the Fed starting to dump their toxic securities and what bearing it will have for these, oil price need to remain above $50 for sure. | ny boy
19/10/2017 11:41 | Chelsea81, Re:extract from your post below: " I sometimes wish this share price continues to drop just so the moaners will either shut up, sell up, or hang themselves." No offence intended but you have "moaned" about the "moaners" in several of your posts so in that sense, you, yourself are a "moaner." You can filter out any posters here that annoy you but then you would have nothing to moan about. :-) Several of us here, have filtered out a certain regular " woe is me" poster. Best wishes and good luck with your moaners situation. | cinquepercento
19/10/2017 11:28 | Bracke and NY .. thanks! | rhatton
19/10/2017 11:28 | Ah, the usual cohort of bottom sniffers have arrived - talking about further big falls - 350p 'bottom' et al - and recommending each other's prowess. LOL. Time to buy. | woodhawk
19/10/2017 11:24 | Penycae I bought a few of these on the basis that such falls are usually overdone and that the company even if fined will survive and the share price rise. rHatton Thank you for your AHT comment. As to PFC not much I can add to what Penycae has posted. 400 offers support but it may want to test the bottom at 350. The 6 month chart shows SMA 50 levelled off and SMA 100 levelling off. Holders will have to be patient. | bracke
19/10/2017 11:19 | 400p is support, I will add more if we get there. 5 weeks since the last major contract award, market will be expecting more, hence sell off from 460p Drifting down on no news, disappointing considering oil has seen improving prices lately. Still under the cloud of FSA investigation But all broker buys in September were for 530-600p price targets Something wrong here, either too cheap or some know more than us plebs? | ny boy
19/10/2017 11:06 | Bracke, what’s your take with pfc? I’m a big fan of your AHT analysis. | rhatton
19/10/2017 11:02 | Morning bracke! Nice to see you over here. Got a few of these on paper for Mrs. P, and have been in and out many times on spread bets with the monkey. My feeling is that the SFO will find something wrong, but it won't be serious enough to justify the continued downward pressure on the share price AQR is giving it some hammer at the moment, but I think there are signs that they're reducing their short position. Of course, they could be covering and re-entering. We'll never know until it's over. I'm happy to hold. Mrs. P has the divi, so not all bad. | penycae
19/10/2017 10:50 | Good day Penycae Your post nicely put. There is a third alternative. share price continues sideways until the SFO report. | bracke
19/10/2017 10:30 | Capitulation? What price would you call for that to occur? Looks to me that this move has been to fill a trading gap from August. That's just been closed. Price should rise from here to fill the October gap, around 449. I'm adding a few from here. Only contrarian argument to that is the double bottom around 326. If that's capitulation there's a chance it'll happen. Only news flow and increased volume on the plus side will prevent it. There you have it. Reward from here 449 plus blue sky to no upper limit if you're bullish on the world. Risk from here to 326 then possibly zero if you think PFC is going bust. Your money, your call. | penycae
19/10/2017 10:26 | they can also adjust the size of the business to suite the contracts, lots going on. They reported they are as busy as ever pricing new work, they will have a good idea which ones they will win. They have been trading for long enough years after all. but agree disappointing SP WJ. | w1ndjammer
19/10/2017 10:22 | I sometimes wish this share price continues to drop just so the moaners will either shut up, sell up, or hang themselves. If you are looking to gamble for quick gain, go stake your money on football. | chelsea81 |
