11/2/2021 15:15 | asset situation I think . Why is NAV relevant in that stock ? | arja
11/2/2021 15:14 | Boozey, I had a look at Investek after your comment about NAV but it is not an uinvestment trust or asse | arja
11/2/2021 15:07 | I must admit that chartwise PSH looks interesting as still in a nice medium term uptrend even after the recent sharp dip . This 2600 level is resistance level and, if it breaks it , about 2680 minimum is next stop. | arja
11/2/2021 15:02 | Rachael, the NAV here is frustrating, but not half as frustrating as Investec which has only recovered to 50% of NAV! Bizarre how it all works (I am invested in both in equal measure) | boozey
11/2/2021 14:57 | Ackman is unlikely to move on Divi policy. The only reason they have any divi is to bring PSH into the universe of investable stocks for more Passive. It's a tick box divi. | kinbasket
11/2/2021 14:30 | the discount to NAV on this has always been troubling - both to shareholders and directors! - in the past they decided that share buy backs and paying a dividend was the way to go - all without too much impact. I wonder what level of divi and share buy back would close the gap - i appreciate that a buy back will essentially be limited by the poor volume but would a more progressive dividend policy have the desired effect ? After all a current divi yield of 1.2% is hardly compelling and the fund has a cash buffer over 20%. How likely is it that we might see a doubling of the divi with a commitment to sustained future increases to reduce the cash holding further ? Hoping we may see something on dividend policy before we get to april.... | rachael777
11/2/2021 14:13 | exited by then ! | arja
11/2/2021 14:13 | I will make a point of doing that assuming you are not a brexiteer ! ( smile ) . I guess I will have exite | arja
11/2/2021 12:30 | Pop in and see us in the future when we're somewhere near actual NAV.You can congratulate us on our patience :) | rickyl1
11/2/2021 08:55 | nice to see a 2 quid increase in NAV in past week but still struggles to get back to 27 level . needs more patience than I possess ! | arja
02/2/2021 08:42 | NAV falls again and no wonder the share price is not recovering much although up a bit today on back of roaring US indices . here's hoping ! | arja
01/2/2021 14:53 | whoops , famous last words ! | arja
01/2/2021 14:43 | at least it has made a tentative recovery today but will struggle to hold up if US indices tank again later today but not looking likely at present . | arja
29/1/2021 21:02 | The hedge is on the same terms as the original one but only a third of the size. It's all a bit vague but so was the original one at the time. | rickyl1
29/1/2021 18:51 | The market is very volatile lately. Anyone any idea how effective is the new hedge position made by Bill? If only it is as good as the first one. Also he has a lot of cash in his SPAC psth this time so it may be put into good use sometime. | ceaserxzy
29/1/2021 09:51 | Time to ask the GameStop guys to put PSH on fire. It is clearly shorted! :) | vacendak
29/1/2021 09:14 | yes, but I am always a little suspicious as to why and if US markets tank it is unlikely the discount will tighten . Off a bit today after the recovery yesterday and hope it will stay above the 2400 level yes | arja
28/1/2021 19:04 | NAV dropped a £1. But still a large discount. | boozey
28/1/2021 08:29 | seems to be at chart support level but who knows with US markets still not recovering ! | arja
22/1/2021 11:31 | funny old Trust really as share price rises today when US markets fall ! Not complaining but a bit odd ! Nice weekend all from the sunny English riviera ! ( smile ) . | arja
21/1/2021 11:49 | I wouldn't expect any big jumps in share price unless there's news from the SPAC. However once the SPAC is announced expect fireworks... "The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient." - Warren Buffett. | thruxie
21/1/2021 11:19 | but almost no increase in NAV from a week ago bmel . Of course still a big discount to NAV as you say and nice to see a slight improvement in share price today and did not go as low as 2540 . | arja
21/1/2021 10:22 | NAV of 34.18 today - so a bit to go yet. Still circa 24% discount and, of ccourse, the SPAC yet to come. | bmel
19/1/2021 18:13 | perusing the chart it looks like about 2540 is support area - so a bit to go ! | arja
18/1/2021 23:23 | That's true to some degree but this went from +2% to -1.3% with US market closed and very little currency fluctuation. It's always been volatile so probably best not sweating day to day movement too much. | rickyl1 |
