SPAC, Ftse 100 inclusion and Dow recovery. Will all help!

Hoping the SPAC helps close the discount here as well as adding to performance.

Superb. The future of PSH is indeed bright. It's a huge part of my portfolio and will remain so for the long term, roll on ftse100 inclusion.

Does psh have a chance of being promoted next week? Advfn put it at a market cap of over £4.4 b, which seems to be based on its fully diluted No. of shares of about 199, 000, 000 plus about 18, 000, 000 treasury shares.

Hi Mozy, I've read that they've pledged 1-2 billion additional to the 4 raised. I'd hazard a guess this is why they've trimmed and sold some positions recently e:g Berkshire etc to raise the cash?

Here's the most recent 13F filing. It's very focused with just 7 stocks and a short which they don't have to list, another 20% in cash and a $4 billion SPAC in the pipeline.

Any idea where you can find the up to date portfolio for this trust?

Certainly it's a case of never a dull moment, it looks like they're after another big acquisition.

Net assets now £28.08
An extremely large discount for an investment company considering it's performance this year so far. It must almost be top of it's sector

Agreed. Just closing the discount to a reasonable level would be more than enough on it's own.

Yes agreed a number of different sites have varying valuations. The following link seems pretty useful as it lists the FTSE all share rankings by cap, PSH is 99th currently and needs to gain approximately 300 million market cap for automatic inclusion. Very achievable in my opinion, it's a matter of when not if. :)

Citywire: "FTSE Review: Pershing Square misses top 100 spot but F&C joins it in the queue"

The advfn website is misleading about the capitalization of psh of £4.25 b. According to citywire its about £3.8 b.

As I've said, it is very unlikely to make it this time as would need mkt cap of circa £4.3bn.

Ftse 100 would certainly help close the discount.

Another decent rise today on the back of last weeks gains, this had got to be very close to FTSE 100 promotion later today. Is the smart money already going on in expectation perhaps?

Psh have sold Berkshire Hathaway and 2 small holdings to capitalise on better opportunities. Huge cash pile now.

Weekly NAV released.

"PSH NAV per share as of close of business on 26 May 2020 was 34.07 USD / 27.63 GBP and year-to-date performance was 26.8%."

This should be north of £20 even at a big discount of 20%.

Up again today with a £4.3B market cap for £6.4B of assets. Also I note it's the second highest holding on the FTSE 250 ETF MIDD. It's edging closer to the FTSE 100! It's my second biggest holding and best performer over the past year so I have a vested interest :)

Yes, it is eligible. Mkt cap needs to be over £4bn by close June 3, which seems too far a stretch. But if performance continues, and it can pull the discount in, then it prob will make it at some stage.

If and when this gets into the FTSE 100 it will surely fly, just narrowing the 30+% discount to NAV means it's got plenty more share price growth potential. It must be getting close to inclusion?
