04/11/2016 10:44 | I can't see mention of PAYS in the Octopus report. Is it just that it doesn't appear on the list of Holdings anymore? Your manager sold out of holdings in Vianet Group and Tangent Communications, for total gains on initial investment of £78,000. Since the period end one further follow-on investment has been made in Microsaic Systems which has been a portfolio holding for about a year and has recently undergone a change in its management team. The original investment was small and this top-up, at an attractive valuation, makes it a more significant holding in the portfolio. Your managers have also sold out of holdings in Altitude Group and Lombard Medical, and reduced the holding in Futura Medical Group. | polythene
04/11/2016 10:36 | scooper72, How do you know the US election results will be the biggest news next week? After all, we already know it's going to happen & there's a roughly 50/50 chance of who's going to win it. Meanwhile, we might be hit by an asteroid which no-one saw coming. That would be big news & would certainly deflate the price of PAYS quite a bit more. I think it's impossible to know the answer to the point you make. I'd have thought though that any turmoil from the US election result would be a golden buying opportunity here, especially with results in line or better. | dogwalker
04/11/2016 10:22 | Ignore me just realised May and year 2015, doh! | alexytrader
04/11/2016 10:20 | might the fact that the trading update is at the same time as the US election results which will be the biggest news next week mean that even a positive update gets lost in the noise around the election and thus any uplift that the trading update might have warranted gets missed and the price deflates a little more? | scooper72
04/11/2016 10:19 | Wolfie. Not sure i understand. How do you know short will be zero tomorrow on the 5th?! Or is this wishful thinking... | alexytrader
04/11/2016 10:06 | FTSE250 has been dropping last week PAYS is just following this! I would like to add to my holding but the US election is putting me off, if Trump wins markets will most likely take a hit in the short term. | 1861andy
04/11/2016 09:54 | Agreed. Ftse down following US | trentendboy
04/11/2016 09:39 | 4 May 2015 shorts 5.1% 5 May 2015 shorts 0.0% Closed in a day - just as the RI was closing. Shorts didn't make sense then either until you realised they were looking to push down price so they could buy cheap. They also managed to close their short positions in a day despite the large volume as these were CFD's. You won't know they are closed until after the event I suspect we have the same agenda here - could be in for big news on the 8th and this is an attempt to keep a lid on the share price ahead of a: * Dual Nasdaq listing * Approach by someone else/merger * News of a Bolt on Acquisition As we saw with PAYPAL - Qtr 3 sector activity is buzzing and we saw already how well PAYS has been doing at the half yr results | wolfhound1
04/11/2016 09:26 | Well I guess a lot of us are getting rather uneasy. Results cant come soon enough but I am not confident enough to add prior to seeing them so roll on Tuesday. Assuming they are good I will add as there will still be plenty of upside to take. | salpara111
04/11/2016 09:20 | I have 59 shares in my watch it's and right now it's an absolute sea of red. The only item showing blue is AGL.PAYS drop is following the FTSE & nothing to do with shorters. | f1araway
04/11/2016 09:08 | I think liquidity issues would make it fairly difficult to take back the size of the shorts we are talking about. If you are referring to MM scuffling shorts, then for sure that's what they are doing. In the current environment I would be surprised if they are aloud by their paymasters to take that much proprietary risk. | mannymif
04/11/2016 08:56 | Reckon they short it prior to results to get the share price down as much as possible then close just before results and then buy the shares? Or do you reckon they will still have their short position open after the update? | filmster
04/11/2016 08:56 | As previously suggested, unless these shorters are trying to act to surpress the price in advance of a bid, it is difficult to see the rationale? If we were on a stratospheric PE rating in a low growth sector then fine, but we are the reverse of this. Bizarre. | lomax99
04/11/2016 08:50 | Hopefully JL is taking this personally and it motivates him and Co even more to blow these people away :-) | melf
04/11/2016 08:41 | PEP increasing short position. | marine boy
04/11/2016 08:37 | This is what you get when more shorters get involved. Lets hope it's so good that they get burned. | pshevlin
04/11/2016 08:36 | I doubt it Filmster - Safecharge's share price hasn't dropped this morning. I'm convinced it is MM manipulation. I've seen it so many times here before it's getting boring. | melf
04/11/2016 08:24 | Filmster reaction to Sterling from court ruling? | aspex
04/11/2016 08:23 | Really getting pushed down lower today. Quite unusual this close to results don't you think? I know it usually gets pushed down but usually this close to an update the share price is starting push up again | filmster
03/11/2016 21:32 | Skrill used to be called "Moneybookers" Moneybookers was spun off from the gambling site "Gamebookers", at one time producing 100% of Moneybookers revenue before it offered itself to other gambling sites (back in 2006) Gamebookers is now owned by BWin and Partybets (and has been for sometime). Also now GVC I think. I think it is much more likely for one of these to be the "merchant" rather than Bet365. Although it makes no real difference who it is, and it could well be Bet365, I just dont think so. | adh0
03/11/2016 16:36 | Only 2 business days left before the 8th Nov. GLA | wolfhound1
03/11/2016 15:57 | Your looking at automated trades, it doesn't mean anything in my view! And we always see a dip before news is due | jarega85
03/11/2016 15:41 | Can anyone answer why are people selling now? Lol | filmster
03/11/2016 15:29 | I wouldn't know for sure although that probably is the case. | melf |
