01/3/2019 08:36 | Agreed. They can now focus 100% on being an explorer and developing the Calcatreu deposit. IMO this is the best possible strategy for the here and now, which gives the company a proper focus. They do seem to have faith that the Calcatreu deposit will come good. If they can monetise some of the Santa Cruz properties, including flogging Cap Oeste, they can hopefully get the company onto a proper footing as an explorer. | gsg
01/3/2019 07:50 | Fair play to Carlos. He’s backing the company with his own money and risk. Also puts us in a stronger position when negotiating potential deals as we won’t look desperate for cash. He must believe in Calcatreu. | justino
01/3/2019 07:04 | $15m loan facility from Miguens. You have to give him credit for sticking with it. | gsg
27/2/2019 09:26 | Very mediocre results, best intersection just over 50 gram-meters, and a small clutch of piddly sub-5 gram-meter intersections. Nothing to excite, and crucially potential funders are not exactly going to be mobbing them, especially after so much cash has been blown in recent years. I don't normally irritate people by posting on stock threads I'm not in, so apologies to holders. It's all a far cry from the excitement of Esquel and the promise of HPD. Boy have they missed Marc Sale. | doobydave
27/2/2019 09:25 | It would not bother me if they could somehow sell up all of the land holdings in Santa Cruz and put everything into developing Calcatreu. Looks to me like that will be the strategy. | gsg
27/2/2019 09:08 | If they could sell or do a JV with the 300k oz high grade at Cap Oeste that could potentially fund getting Calcatreu into production. But right now it seems like a big if. | justino
27/2/2019 08:34 | These are too cheap now surely? Any other stock with a gold discovery would have multi bagged. That's a non producing gold stock aswell | kirk 6
27/2/2019 08:19 | So what now, for the way forward? Drill results showing we can find gold, just don't make good decisions on the production side. | robers98
20/2/2019 16:23 | Just hoping something good gets announced here with gold price so high. Wonder if they could sellCap oest | kirk 6
20/2/2019 15:49 | Used to trade this around 2008. Always had the impression then Miguens would take it private at some point. Great resource. And great management once. Not followed too closely over last few years but someone deserves shooting. Good luck all. | 2bozmo
20/2/2019 04:17 | “Christopher van Tienhoven, CEO commented: "We are pleased with the improved levels of production at Cap Oeste as a result of the successful installation of the new crushing and agglomeration circuit installed last year. Despite the current difficult economic situation in Argentina and the impact that the reintroduction of the export tax will have on our bottom line, from a technical point of view we have a lot to look forward to: progressing Calcatreu, evaluating and proceeding with the high-grade deposit underground at Cap-Oeste and potential positive results from our other exploration activities." Sept 2018 “The Company is currently reviewing the planned production from Cap Oeste and Lomada for 2019 and plans to announce this guidance by 31 March 2019. The Company continues to review alternative opportunities to extract value from the COSE-style hypogene mineralisation, which lies below the completed open pit and which is estimated to hold approximately 300,000 oz AuEq at 20 g/t AuEq.” Jan 18 2019 Prod. Update So there was some sort of suggestion that a thorough going review was underway. There was also mention of repeated labour disruptions by Santa Cruz unions. It could be that the company has come to the end of its tether as far as the whole Argentinian experience is concerned.Government | steeplejack

19/2/2019 17:45 | we have had all this hassle in MIRL too. | hazl
19/2/2019 17:23 | eblitz, I have'nt got the foggiest, what these guys are up to. As lochlea says, I don't think they do either, from recent announcements. I'll contact the CEO and take a view from there. | gsg
19/2/2019 17:16 | Hello GsG Nice to hear from you on this board. I'm not going to ask anything about competitors as I am nursing very heavy losses on here. Do you think PGD are going private or do you think that they will asses and ask for monies and then go private | eblitz1
19/2/2019 17:10 | Ha ha, will do. | gsg
19/2/2019 17:02 | LOL G. Please do, and send him my love at the same time. .......... and you might want to ask him if that new crushing unit they purchased recently is now going to be sold on eBay. | lochlea
19/2/2019 16:58 | lochlea. Do you mind if I use your first paragraph in an email to the CEO? | gsg
19/2/2019 16:46 | It all seems a tad bizarre. Less than a week ago announcing drill results in Uruguay. Less than 7 weeks ago announcing acquisition of 4 properties from/involving Goldcorp. Now 10 months since they made final significantly large payment on Calcatreu and we are now none the wiser how drilling has gone from 4 months back and what the plan of action is. Dare I say it? Not exactly a Company with a transparent ongoing strategy. Apart from the cash burn history - which frankly defies belief. | lochlea
19/2/2019 15:46 | I can't work out whether this is outright fraud or merely a bloody disgrace. Time will tell I suppose.... | dexdringle
19/2/2019 15:06 | With all this talk about going private will PGD give us any warning? You would hope that going private would mean buying existing shares from investors!! | kirk 6
19/2/2019 15:02 | Hello Lochlea I think that it was mentioned by someone who was well respected that if the Company was going to go private then the price they had to pay was the last fund raising price or something like that. What I can't understand is that if the Company was going to go private then why are people buying as I see that the difference between sells and buys are not that much. The only thing I can think of is more of a concert party hoovering up the shares to go private so the amount paid to do this is minimal. I could be talking a load of rubbish but I would welcome a response | eblitz1
