PE and yield support a valuation nearer £10 than the current £8. Its a little expensive on an NTA basis but that's because of the exceptional ROCE and very low expense ratio. Impressive that they actually increased net margin when you might have expected the opposite and yet still attracting plenty of deposits. Very strong hold |

js - IRB stands for "Internal Ratings Based" . Banks have to hold a defined level of capital based on % of Risk weighted assets. For newer/smaller organisations this % is determined by regulator (PRA?) - however more established banks can use IRB based on their own loan book performance - and for a well run organisation such as PAG this can be substantially lower than the regulated %. Accordingly they are able to gear up further increasing the value of loans on their book without increasing their capital base - thereby increasing their earnings potential. |

Well since I posted I have seen that they have served notice of intent to reduce the rate on one of my accounts from 4.7% to 4.25%, which will very likely make me switch |
As they have £1.85bn of TFSME borrowings to repay over the next year it is unlikely that they will ease up on deposit growth as it has cheaper borrowing costs than a bond issue. |
Interesting market reaction today. MM's tried to take it 10% higher but found no takers. Very strange to be down when guidance was raised across the board |
Impressive and the performance continued in the current quarter. One thing I've noticed is that they are extremely competitive on term deposits so improving the net margin is impressive. They must have room to ease up on deposit growth without denting the lending capacity. Cost ratio is impressive and moving n the right direction. Slight concern over provisioning |

Don't know. HY ends effectively today, we should hear at the beginning of June. The financial backdrop has been stable, perhaps mildly positive so I'm expecting more of the same |
