Scot,It is the fact that you have to correct by putting specific dates on something... when I clearly left specific dates out of my post, based on the fact I was posting without direct access to historical notes & RNS's At the time of the merger I got a very clear understanding that GB would have liked to drill Winx if they could.. That's all I will say. GLA C

Hi Chris0805 - I'm not 100% sure GB/PANR had the appetite to go it alone with Winx in 2019. Are you?

As for upbraiding me for the two sentences in post #24031 addressing your post #24028, I honestly have no idea what you're on about. You must be reading a different post in another dimension if you think the following is "finding fault".

"Chris0805 - delighted to be corrected but I seem to remember Farallon bought the BoAML corporate debt in GB sometime in 2015/16? The exploration tax credit repayment moratorium was announced in October '15 by the Alaskan Governor."

Having re-read it 3 or 4 times, I truly have no idea what you're talking about. Are you joking and I haven't understood? Holy guacamole.

Previous post should end *finding fault* not *dining fault* as it is not easy to edit or proof read when posting from a phone app... apologies for the typo.. :-)

Scot... without the SoA tax credit situation & eventual Farallon funding to GB ( without putting exact dates on it ) then GB would have likely drilled Winx that season....My post doesn't put a date on it, just saying it is in the same period of GB history. That was my understanding in any event... That was the point I was making & adding the fact that GB had much financial input into Winx ( license & seismic), prior to the free carry 10% ( with option to increase to 20% WI for their share of the fees..). Why you have to find fault with every poster, is beyond me. I and ( I guess) pretty much every other poster on here value greatly the time & effort you put in on behalf of the PANR cause. Please leave it at that rather than dining fault with every post

I don't understand your point, gozo? From memory PANR had a 10% W.I. in Winx with the option to move to 20% on success. It's not a "free ride" if, in the course of farming down as PANR did, you negotiate terms which see you continue to hold a W.I.

Your point makes no sense IMHO. PANR (plus eSeis + Otto) owns 100% of the working interest of Alkaid/Talitha/Theta West. 88E doesn't have any percentage W.I. of PANR's acreage.

I fear you're mixing up "free carry" which PANR negotiated when farming down Winx and the proverbial PR 'free ride' 88E is enjoying off the back of PANR's investment and data collection.

Chris0805 - delighted to be corrected but I seem to remember Farallon bought the BoAML corporate debt in GB sometime in 2015/16? The exploration tax credit repayment moratorium was announced in October '15 by the Alaskan Governor.

With the US stopping Russian imports of O&G and Europe and UK looking to the US and Middle East to fulfill the gap over the next 9 months this could be good news for PANR sitting on perhaps one of the largest oil fields in North America.

GB owned the Winx acreage ( western blocks, I think they termed it?), pre the merger with PANR. From memory it had to be drilled that season due to license requirements and GB, due to the state tax credit situation did not have funds to carry out the works. This must have been around the time where the Farallon situation came to be for GB. 88E & RMP ( Red Emperor??) essentially farmed in covering the drill costs & newly merged PANR / GB had a 10 WI *Free Carry*, with a right to increase to 20% WI on a success case, subject to payment of their share of costs... So hardly a free ride given that GB had secured the leases & done the seismic... GLA C

Scott appreciate your post.If my memory serves me correctly PANR had a free ride on the back of the Winx well. They owned the acreage I seem to recall and 88 were operator.Don't think it's all been totally one way as you suggest.Over and out not going to get into a bun fight over it

88E spudded Merlin-2 at 4am UK time today. Interesting that they RNS'd this news in the UK during market hours in order to catch the attention of the US OTC punters. I cannot recall a time in the last few years when 88E has opted to make use of the UK listing to announce news here first v's Oz. They clearly know where the "first time buyer" market is located. FWIW, I think they're correct.

Whilst PANR is *literally* years ahead of 88E in data collection (never mind scale and quality of asset base) there is, IMHO, a lesson there for PANR management and UK-based shareholders. The most natural end buyer of PANR's asset is American *AND* the natural buyers along that journey to eventual company/asset sale are also American.

FAO all the online moderators of the various PANR forums: if the platform permits, I strongly, strongly argue you should (must?) tag in $EEENF $88E #88E in any of your posts/threads/content. Collectively we have largely sat back as the most fantastical claims have been made about 88E to the detriment of PANR. Sadly many of the baseless claims made by 88E social media "influencers" have taken root in the consciousness of the self-titled 88E Army.

Look at 88E's RNS dated 4/3/22 for goodness sake? 88E management are blatantly (and understandably, I guess) piggybacking the data collected over the last decade by PANR. To remind folk, PANR/GB spent approx $80m obtaining 3D seismic over that decade and 88E pretty much only has 2D seismic. In addition, PANR has spent a further $150m - $200m drilling to target conventional horizons, a large proportion of which was spent before 88E even made the decision to give up on the unconventional HRZ.

I appreciate natural British reticence will see many (most?) of us backing off from such intermingling but I have to admit that's an old-fashioned and likely naïve view. If 88E's own management has issued an RNS where the entire content is focussed on piggybacking the work done by PANR/GB over the last decade then PANR shareholders are surely fully, repeat fully, entitled to inform/correct readers of the 88E forums directly and robustly. Good luck out there.

The buyer is back on the bid. for balance the seller has been constant today also, but I think the buyers are gaining control and are more aggressive to the buy side. The seller must be questioning what the hell am I doing billions of barrels of oil in $132 barrel market ...who in their right mind thought we would be here..... I thought Q2 would see a deficit in oil as already predicted by the majors and $100 oil was plausible but $132...jeez if only we had 17 billion barrels in the ground ...ready to flow. ... imagine the share price when this flows .....

$132 Brent and Shell puling out of Russia and closing all Petrol Stations ... and here's little Pantheon sitting on probably one if not the largest oil finds in the past decade... all for less than $0.41cents per barrel (based on 2.2 recoverable subject to flow testing)

They just don't get better than this.... happy to sit and wait and whilst some bargains was certainly catching my eye yesterday just don't want to be out of this when the news hits.
