Pro. I doubt it works like that. More than likely they would have to discount - but why discount to 10p from 18p or - 45% to get a placing done. If one is indeed needed. That’s similar to the share price being at 100p and suggesting a placing at 55p. Can’t help but feel you’re making up these numbers. Especially when a recent broker note placed the fair value at 90p +.
More than likely a placing would be seen as very positive as it sorts out the overhang of uncertainty - as such the share price should respond well. Anyone short at these levels is daft.

Two intraday lows at 17p........perhaps they are floating the idea of 17p and seeing how much they could raise ?

But is that just the first round of talks.......in which case there will likely be offers of, this much at 17p or more at 15p or lots more at 10p a share, how much do you want and lets see how low the price must go ?????

I'm v tempted to buy, but agree it looks like a placing coming so maybe better to wait until that is being done (and the management team are buying too). Will be watching very closely for options granted to management and the prices assigned to them. Will it be millions to them all if the share price can hit 100p again?

The Sp has fallen c 15% since last week's high and once again, is very much oversold. Technically, it's due a bounce.

Much speculation as to the reason(s) for the recent fall. As flagged by the Interim report, 'a farmout and/or other funding arrangement' is likely within the first half. If a buy in deal is being discussed, it's unlikely to be signed off before publication of the Netherland & Sewell IER/CPR reports on Theta West and Alkaid. Besides, that is more than likely to be seen as very good news and send the share price higher.

Short term, a fund raise is more likely, and people may be selling to free up funds in anticipation of a discounted offer. Shorts also could be selling for one last throw. 2 thoughts here: If it was my decision, I wouldn't want to raise at this price, so anyone selling now thinking they could pick up stock cheaper might be very disappointed. There is also no guarantee that a fund raise would be discounted. The fall does however provide yet another opportunity to buy discounted stock, or close shorts.

I can't help think that the lower this goes, the more likely it is to attract an opportunitic bid. The market now values us at £140m, a huge discount to the sums spent to get us to this point and for a major, a relatively small sum to pay for the resources that appear on offer. Of course it won't go for that but how likely are shareholders to accept a low ball bid? The recent high of £1.50 a share is a long way off where we are now.

I guess the hat is being passed around, as in people are being asked to come inside. It's just a case of guessing the numbers. The lower the share price goes in the mean time the lower the final number will be.

And there is some dark plot eg to buy the debt, force the price down, call the debt and do some sort of administration/ prepack
Has happened recently with other Aim basket cases
Leading to mug punter bankruptcies, suicides etc
