They would have been cosseted from reality for a while in the Guild. Only for a while though. Can't hide from the truth of the situation forever no matter how good the minders are at their job.

Even some oil producers are not worth £180m FFS !!! ( and they are producing oil!! ) Why PANR should worth £180m ? Based on pumping??

Ha, ha, ha, ha har! Please don't make me laugh sandcrab!

We've had nonsense posts from shorts ever since their attack started. They have been lucky. It doesn't mean their thesis is right. So when this was heading up over a pound and going towards 150, did we have people saying, oh, this is a dreadful share, can't believe it's up here, better sell. No, people were buying in, Pro included, because they thought it was good and heading in due course for £5+ a share. It will go up again and it may reach that figure.

Here is a powerful argument: buy now, close the short, at what is an astonishing ride and if it goes up and you still think it's worth going short, do it again. Who knows, you may be lucky again!

You’re a huge fan of Pro aren’t you sandcrab - it’s almost as if you think the same things all the time 😉

I would suggest though that shows behaviour that you (both!) decry as being prevalent with longs.

michaelsadvfn - they would say, we don't really know, a gas cap is our best estimate. In other words their opinion and my opinion would be very close. I'm not convinced, but it certainly could be. I'd have expected AVO/AVA analysis to have identified such as case. I'm not sure why you are so desperate for there to be a gas cap? Gas in solution and gas drive would be much preferable for producing long term otherwise you are going to have to provide pressure support other ways almost from the get go.

The question as to why no gas at Alkaid 1 is a really good one. The most satisfactory answer is that some gas was produced but it wasn't measured / recorded. Otherwise it is pretty difficult to come up with a convincing reservoir model that fits what we know thus far.

The Schlumberger report must have anticipated gas in some scenarios because as we know that document is infallible and to suggest otherwise would be to besmirch all the work that company has done ever.
