I agree with 'm' regarding the state of the Broadband network. If Sky are to achieve their goal, then a lot more fibre optics need to be installed which means more business for Arris Switches etc.
I cannot see satellite dying - the bandwidths and the footprints are so much superior to the fibre networks we have today. Satellite is too convenient and could be deployed to another geostationary position and service emerging markets where there are no Broadband networks available - Africa for example need satellites for their Broadcast TV and comms.

Synopsis: Sky are pursuing their long standing strategy of distributing more content over their optical fibre networks.

Commentary: I don't see the end of the satellite service for some time while cable/fibre broadband connectivity is at the state it is.
