Rossanne. can you sight a case that has gone on this long and not won an award. Many thanks. I believe that award is only awaiting quantum or negotiating going on for quick payment.

tburns,

but there are FOUR seperate areas of arbitration which are no doubt interconnected. It wouldn't make sense for the panel to award for one at a time if there is going to be a nett outcome in favour of one party on completion of all four.

Am fairly optimistic though that RS has nudged the panel on the basis of upcoming results announcement and would hope for some very clear indication this week too.

Cases are frequently thrown out on their merits in court and quickly.

Doubtless arbitrations can be slower but imho taking years to say that the claimant has lost seems unlikely.

yes, lost arbitrations are usually announced speedily to reduce parties costs, so the discussion by panel can only be on the huge size of the award imo.

Rossy

It cannot take that long to refuse our case regards merits, it is all about quantum imho which is why this is taking so bloody long!

MT,

I guess some people just need the money for something else sometimes. In fact if this carries on much longer I may have to cash some in for my funeral arrangements. Had in mind big New Orleans lined street band but may end up with just my brother on a harmonica.

Good morning all

What I cannot understand about peoples' investments in this co, is that having come this far with the arbitration outcome surely being soon, why sell now as one or two have this morning?

Of course if one has expert advice to the effect that the arbitration will be lost then selling would be right but such seems unlikely.

here's another new season reminder

The ELEVEN key points as per notice
on wrongful conduct by the regime:

* arbitrary demand for a special dividend
* revocation of tax exemption and initiation of improper state audit
* interference with silver refining
* modification of tax code
* refusal to issue or renew licenses - phase I
* interference with financing
* failure to issue licenses - phase II
* wrongful attempts to liquidate AGF
* heavy-handed audit and coercion of AGF's local employees
* arbitrary detention and wrongful conviction of senior AGF employee
* frivolous and vexatious legal proceedings
