09/11/2017 16:12 | I still can't get my head around these figures: Investec before yesterdays upgraded forecasts from the company were looking for £184m pretax profit, 52.84p EPS and 18.00p dividend for 2018 It's a sitting duck all right, the company has conistently been getting more bullish on prospects and are doing business very carefully looking at risk. Yet it falls 20p from yesterday morning. | che7win
09/11/2017 15:42 | I too just bought back in today | mazarin
09/11/2017 14:28 | I thought we might be at 430p today, didn't expect the fall. I didn't sell yesterday, but bought more today. | che7win
09/11/2017 14:21 | I have reloaded at just above 400. Hopefully rinse and repeat although things looking a bit jittery on the back of the RICS data. | cc2014
09/11/2017 13:54 | Agree that OSB are a sitting duck at this price cfro. After ALD received a takeover offer I looked at all challenger banks in the this sector and compared valuation with ALD and SHAW before any bid was announced. Decided to invest in OSB and VM because their valuations are almost the same as both ALD and SHAW pre the bid announcement. | interceptor2
09/11/2017 10:08 | “We continue to regard OneSavings as an outstanding, low-risk, buy-to-let-led business, which (for us) remains too cheap,” said Investec’s Ian Gordon. | che7win
09/11/2017 10:03 | cfro, I agree, a great bolt on for someone else - especially when business accelerated in Q3 - they are the go to bank for professional BTL - and they are getting the business on good margins. I can't believe I have an opportunity to buy at this level, but the market is irrational at times. | che7win
09/11/2017 09:49 | With ALD now being taken out i think OSB are a sitting duck at this price if you ask me. | cfro
09/11/2017 09:48 | Thanks for the Peel Hunt forecasts che7win. | cfro

08/11/2017 10:41 | At ALD valuations, what should we be, over £5 a share? | che7win
08/11/2017 10:20 | Ha, She is a rather fat cow :-) | che7win

08/11/2017 08:54 | Panmure g:OSB 3Q17 trading update demonstrates that the strong momentum has continued with net loan growth of 23% in the third quarter to £6.9bn. Organic originations were up 33% YoY to a record £677m for the quarter. The group has drawn a total of £1bn under the TFS with FLS drawings reduced to £92m. The group had targeted TFS drawings up to £1bn TFS for FY2017. Management now expect net loan book growth of c20% for FY2017 compared to previous guidance of achieving at lea .... | che7win
08/11/2017 08:32 | Morning. I'm a happy bunny here. Candy from a baby after ALD update yesterday. Closed now as this was a short term trade for me. GLA | cc2014
08/11/2017 08:06 | Another nice boring trading statement from OSB - continues to perform strongly and EPS should be up around 20% this year, so around 50p. Market expectations are a little behind this at 48.4p, but either way puts the PE for the year just finishing around 8x, and show momentum going into next year. Am a happy holder | adamb1978
08/11/2017 07:42 | Lovely confident statement today, nice consolidation period on he chart. Will be interesting to watch the markets reaction. | interceptor2
08/11/2017 07:29 | So 20% growth now at broadly similar margins to last year - I.e. We have got a profits upgrade today. | che7win
08/11/2017 07:28 | Very good update. | cfro
08/11/2017 07:21 | Remember, this growth is at the same margins as last year, this stock has been consistently mispriced to the low side IMHO. | che7win
08/11/2017 07:15 | WOW!Another upgrade, this must be the third 'ahead' statement this year? Now not expecting 'high teens' growth, but 20% growth, current (post 3rd quarter) business remains strong."Andy Golding, CEO of OneSavings Bank, said: "OSB has yet again delivered exceptional performance in the third quarter of 2017 with strong loan book growth and record levels of organic originations at attractive margins. We have reinforced our position as a leading specialist lender in our target markets and I am pleased to report that following the new PRA underwriting rules that came into effect on 1 October 2017, application levels remain strong. I am delighted with OSB's performance as we continue to focus on professional landlords and increase our market share. We now expect loan book growth of c.20% for the full year." | che7win
06/11/2017 11:41 | Maz, ALD selling cheaply amidst superb results as Investec called them.Their update this morning included this line: "We have increased our support for SMEs, providing the vital financing they need to succeed, and have continued to see strong levels of growth in our Buy-to-Let portfolio as we capitalise on the trends of increasing professionalisation in the market" | che7win
06/11/2017 09:07 | I'm not quite so ecstatic and am disappointed the BoD accepted the first offer made to them and I was rather hoping for a Counter offer, ALD is surely worth more. Question is where to reinvest the proceeds? | mazarin
06/11/2017 09:06 | Bought some more today first thing, should have waited an hour.ALD comment in strong BTL trading is positive for OSB ahead of its trading update IMHO. | che7win
06/11/2017 07:23 | Excellent update from ALD and takeover confirmed, spread across to OSB ahead of their update? | che7win |
