Very little stock on offer this morning, a large premium being asked for just £4k of shares !

Is this about to go on a run up.

Which exploration programme has failed? Bibemi resource, new discoveries in the other ground. Seems they know what they’re doing.

"Delivered consistently". Hilarious mate. This pile of lifestyle pish hasn't delivered a single thing in its puff.

Didn’t they say ‘project level funding / financing’?

Non-dilutive, that would be a boon.

Gold is up, Oriole have delivered consistently on exploration (despite the negative vibes), I’m guessing it’s just a matter of time before we see a reaction to the sp

It can only be a matter of time before the juniors start to rebound, IF ORR deliver a JV with a major mining group as they have suggested then the share price will rocket.

One thing, for the usually very conservative management team to talk openly about recent meetings with major mining groups suggests something is about to happen.

You can bet your bottom $ certain market participants have a wholesome naked short in ORR in anticipation of a raise.

Question is will they raise via equity this time around, if not those market participants are going to feel very sore.

This BOD are almost on trial given the comments they have made recently concerning JV, discussions with major mining groups, project finance etc.

Now is the time to start buying these bombed out junior gold explorers, fortunes can be made buying in at the right time, many have fallen 80/90% from their highs.

The majors flush with cash, ORR seeking a JV partner for Cameroon, this surely has to be one of the best options for a significant re-rate.

The share price hit 2p back in 2021 from around current levels, remember that !

This was posted at the other site today, the poster seems pretty clued up on affairs, is this the time to buy in anticipation of a JV deal?

Corporate activity Today 09:17

I have not posted for a while, reading the Annual Report I feel there has finally been a recognition from the company that the market is pricing in placings and this is destroying the value that they have created both in Senegal and Cameroon.

I think the above is a major see change from the, dare I say, arrogance of previous interviews where it was suggested they know best and dilution was not an issue.

Another aspect is, finally, they have openly stated they are seeking a JV partner for Cameroon, that funding at project level is now the preferred option as opposed to equity dilution. I think this a material change of policy, much needed, the market, so far, has not latched on.

It has been a month since they stated they had discussions with 10+ major mining groups about Cameroon, recent vibes from Eileen Carr imply they are working on corporate activity which could mean a JV.

Any JV deal would usually come with cash up front, often covers historic spend, in ORR's case around £4m for Cameroon, the JV partner would then pay for exploration spend for a stake percentage.

I still maintain that a JV announcement must be reasonably imminent, why you may ask, simply because as drilling season approaches ORR needs money and they have more or less implied it will not come via equity.

I have been buying ORR at current levels whilst it is quiet, a good example of what might come is the deal Tembo Gold progressed with African Barrack, at the time Tembo was valued at only $3m the deal propelled the market cap 10 fold, Tembo had links to Stratex directors, they probably are still in contact with ORR - I suspect AB are favourites as ORR JV partners therefore.

Here is the Tembo RNS that brought Barrack into the project

At some point ORR will deliver significant upside, this time around they have to deliver a JV deal as they have no real alternative, as I say a see change in policy, much welcomed.

Worth keeping an eye on this bombed out company, they are seeking a JV partner for Cameroon and now project financing. One suspects the two are aligned.

What major or mid cap would not want to be involved in a new gold frontier in a new country.

If they come out with a JV deal (bets are African Barrack) the shares will sky rocket.

Fill your boots time? Maybe!

1st instalment was paid in 2019. open and shut case, cost to continue, is minimal. Costs will be met if case won, interest also to be paid , so payout could be lots more than the £425000, ultimately this will bring more value to shareholders

1.4 million locked up in Turkey, court cases in two cases again ntf and amadoulu ( or something similar) 75000 paid by amadoulu but they still have 425000 to pay.

Interesting comments from the CEO suggesting they have had approaches from entities wishing to take a stake in the company and/or provide project finance.

Rare for a company to publicly admit such a thing.

Disappointed to learn that the near $1m tax payment made by previous management to a 3rd party they are trying to pursue in Turkey is now only worth $200k due to depreciation of the Turkish Lira.

Looks like that cash avenue has closed down therefore, the depreciation aspect has never been mentioned in previous Annual Reports.

It seems the Turkish legal claims, which were in excess of $1.5m will come to nothing, not good news.

Seems to me they absolutely deliver - look at their track record of discovery in Cameroon.
The investors sell into any positive news, smashing the share price every time.

Unfortunately the old chestnut about funding cannot be ignored, they cannot rely on the timing of the HMRC tax refund (estimated at £400k) can they, the treasury is almost bare again.

To shareholder distain they have never been afraid to place stock at ever lower prices, it really has been a wrecker of shareholder value.

An example of what dilution does to investors, back in the Stratex days (2017) a 2p share price would have valued the company at £9.5m, now it would value Oriole at £54m which of course is unattainable unless some major deal is announced.

The market is tough, they cannot raise below .10p unless there is a capital reorganisation, also likely a share consolidation with it, probably 1 for 100.

Interesting post the first sentence of which seems to be at variance with the facts. The last placing was in fact in October last year. Before that it was end June for just 300k+ and Before that in September 2021. So, I don't see how that ties in with 'about this time of year'. Perhaps you are out of practice since your last post was 8 years ago.

I hope ORR are not considering another discounted fundraise / placing, the last one back in OCTOBER 22 was at 0.12p. I would be suprised if ORR can get that price again from the next placing in this current market and so long away from newsflow.Maybe that is why the MM,s have been so keen to keep it around the 0.13p level for so long.

As a long term holder i would be gutted if they do a fundraise under 0.10p as it could de-stabilse us again and alienate most of the new flock of holders that came in at the back end of last year at significantly higher levels than at present.

Im starting to lose faith in the BOD here,on what could be a great set of assets.
