Terminator101. He knows not of what he speaks… which is fairly typical of the bagger brigade.

Probably caught with a short position and desperate to drop the price!

The scale of the discovery announced yesterday will certainly draw attention to Oriole as a investment proposition.

It was interesting to hear the CEO talk about the possibility of a JV partnership, Cameroon has been barren of gold exploration to date and Oriole has secured first mover advantage meaning they are in pole position for approaches by majors.

Interesting times ahead.

I see the weevils are trying to protect their shorts by spreading fake news. The purchaser of the 12.5m paid the highest price achieved all day @0.34. If it was an inter account transfer there would have been a matching trade published, as we have seen many times before here. It is therefore clearly a buy and a massive vote of confidence in the company.

MM'ers playing a crafty game as certain entities take largish lines of stock”

I’m intrigued, would you like to enlighten me as to how you know entities are taking largish lines of stock? And why do you think “MM’res are playing a crafty game”

Book has strengthened in the last hour, now only £3k of stock at full offer then it moves up again.

The 12.5m buy at full price tells you all you need to know, probably Shard clients filling their boots, ORR has been a very popular trading stock for the masses historically, it is a great entry point for a run back to 1p.

Hope so as they have all the fundamentals in place. This is going to strike it rich for many of us who have stayed patient for a long time.

Looks like someone took 12,500,000 shares at full offer earlier today - the penny is starting to drop.

It's ironic, it took a while before GGP started it's meteoric rise after it's initial discovery RNS, seems the same is happening with ORR.

The real price to buy has gone up a little to 0.31p after that huge 12.5m buy at 0.34p.

1,643,108 bought at 0.304 and sold at 0.311. You idiot to whoever that trade belongs too. You bought in at the price most of us can only dream of, and sold away a life changing opportunity.

Not that I know the background behind the revolution in the IAMGOLD boardroom and the appointment of the new members and chair, but a swoop on little Oriole could well suit their purpose and enhance their credentials..Meanwhile, let's hope that we remain independent for long enough to claw our way up the first wave of the Lassonde curve. The pressure must surely be on to realise cash from the legacy assets, and accelerate exploration without undue dilution. tightfist

There is no doubt that ORR are onto something big in Cameroon, the question is can they remain independent, it makes you think about Iamgold their JV partner in Senegal, in taking out ORR they would get their hands on 50% more of the huge Senegal licence package and all of Cameroon.

With no major shareholder to block an approach ORR could be taken out for 3 or 4 times the current m/cap and it would be peanuts for a mid cap like Iamgold.

From Shard....

More fantastic results for Oriole, with soil geochem results in Central Cameroon surpassing our expectations. It’s still early days for this licence package but it now possesses all the prerequisites to become a very interesting district scale play in a new frontier that has not seen prior historical exploration. Coupled with multiple work streams at Bibemi and the IAMGOLD JV in Senegal, Oriole is now maintaining a very high level of exploration momentum and generating tangible results. Not that this is reflected in ORR’s market cap at a mere £6m, even against a strong backdrop for gold.

If there is a cheaper entry point to a quality West African gold discovery play with greater re-rating potential, then we don’t know what it is. Oriole should be on every gold bug’s radar.

There’s never been a more opportune moment to secure a big name partner and TL has all the right credentials with his background at Barrick and Reservoir Minerals. Then there’s IAMGOLD who have already done business with ORR in Senegal.

The red and purple dots to the North are high grade gold grab samples, it looks very encouraging indeed.

Finally, after a period of nearly 4 years shareholders have something that can deliver material and sustainable value, now ORR need to secure a JV partner of scale, I would not rule out a deal near term either.

The current valuation of ORR is totally out of kilter to events.

A picture speaks a thousand words", well worth looking at today's map link, the results in the NE look rather prospective IMHO..Scanning back through the earlier CLP RNS's underlines their steadfast, methodical approach which could lead to great results from modest expense and a minnow market cap. tightfist

They are clearly opening up a massive new gold province in Cameroon and I can see a time when this stock becomes as popular as GGP and SOLGOLD. Great to be in at the ground floor and tomorrow’s 6ix event is perfectly timed for ORR to spread the word.
