Limits extremely tight, can only buy £500 before NT. Bit of volume and it could get very interesting!

AIM Bagger

The BOD did not take £200,000 worth of shares in the last placing they took £20,000

Their total holding of ORR stock is only circa 1%

I think a far more likely scenario given the current market cap of ORR is that IAMG would make a move for them if the forthcoming drilling results from Cameroon are impressive. It’s vary rare for a new gold province to be discovered these days and several of the bigger fish will no doubt be watching how this plays out.

Been buying this morning, bombed out miner which was funded recently at a 20% premium to current share price whereby the BoD took £200k. Assay results been extremely encouraging and the chart looks ready to move up. Daily buy signal triggered, weekly and monthly are triggering.

It is very quiet here probably due to concerns over whether Iamgold will extend the JV in Senegal or not, they would have to spend $4m over 2 years, a decision is expected this quarter.

If they do pull out ORR will find themselves in a near impossible situation, to progress the project they would have to find multiple $ millions and also have a mid cap (Iamgold) holding around 50% of the same project who may prove difficult to deal with.

Best hope is Iamgold will extend but if they do not expect the share price to be pummelled.

The new CEO was critical of the JV which was put in place by the old BOD, no wonder.

Risk is off at the moment, liquidity has dried up, there is nothing the BOD can do, all minnows are in the same boat, their share price performance has been dire over recent months.

As stock prices fall those holding start to sell to protect their cash and/or stop losses get hit driving prices lower.

Who knows when this demise will turn around it needs something to kick start the market, even huge winners like GGP and EUA have lost 50%.

You either hold and grimace daily drops or sell or take advantage of the low entry point and wait, it is as simple as that IMO.

Those investing in junior exploration need to understand that the market can be brutal and relentless in value destruction.

Before sector recovery around 30 months back the likes of Oriole and a number of peers were valued at £2m/£3m, the current market valuation of this company is still £6.5m, it hit £30m on 8th February, the sector high point.

The above gives a guide as to where the share price might go if market conditions continue to deteriorate, with 2 billion shares in issue the above numbers could lead to a share price of .15p or even .10p

Significant caution is needed therefore especially as Oriole is market dependant on equity raises to survive, there is still time to preserve capital.

My opinion only, no advice offered.

Yep not a lifestyle company but Tim has been a bit naive in his promotion of the stock and so far not delivered on the exploration side.

There are a lot of lifestyle companies on AIM but this is not one of them. Directors have digged into their own pockets regularly to provide support, have the expertise to select the most promising areas for drilling after undertaking stream sampling and trenching beforehand, and have spent a lot of time away from their families in a boiling hot mosquito infested country, whilst running the risk of picking up Covid or any of the multitude of other diseases prevalent in the tropics.

I think they deserve a bit of praise for that personally.

Great interview with Claire Bay this afternoon:

Sounds like there will be continuous news flow throughout Q1 next year.

It is a terrible looking chart, one wonders if .20p is likely, there was support around this level a few years ago.

I wonder how many are selling with the aim of buying back cheaper.

I must admit overall the drill programmes here have been quite disappointing. Tim needs to deliver on some hits with the drill bit to justify they know what they are doing on the exploration side.

Not sure these are 'wide' but that is subjective so you're entitled to your own opinion

Mine was that these didn't look particularly good, maybe promising but not good in and of themselves

Some interesting tweets today from ORR:

In particular the cross section of three drill holes showing wide veining down to a considerable depth.

News being ignored by the market but gold producers will no doubt be onto it, particularly those who are too heavily exposed in Peru or Chile as things are not looking good there with recent regime changes, and they will be looking to reduce country risk, given stated nationalism of assets aspirations imho.

Having held since Stratex & added as lowly ORR & having been a long term holder of AAU ( at under 1p) & ( ATYM since 50p) I fully appreciate that investing in miners can be a long long process before the rewards ( if ever ) materialise. The attraction of ORR is its very low market cap & if we are genuinely viewed as a miner who could move to production there must remain a decent chance of a multi bag from here-although we all know that funds will be needed - or a decent farm out deal.

Does look remarkably cheap for a substantial guaranteed gold deposit for less than £7M!

Bargain.

Adding.
