Bought in for the trade, ORR has served me well in the past.

A run back through .40p is easily on.

Talk is that Elephant Oil will list on the Nasdaq later this month, it could provide ORR with a unexpected cash windfall that the market has not factored in.

I suspect now is as good a time as any to buy into ORR and other sector minnows, the smash down in value has been ongoing for just over 12 months and the sector is totally bombed out.

Looking around the bulletin boards and social media locations it seems there will be a fair amount of new cash hitting the market at the start of the new tax year later this week.

I think the point Mr Mcnee makes is a good one, the uncertainty here about the Senegal JV with Iamgold has been removed and is a positive outcome thankfully.

Once momentum kicks in ORR moves fast, better to buy in ahead of such an event IMO.

At least 3 times what.... point of comparison? Why stop at 3?

The investment proposition here is far better than it was now Iamgold have decided to extend the JV with Oriole in Senegal for the final 2 years, the drop from the .50p range was as a result of this uncertainty.

I have bought in, expect to see a sector recovery in Q2 and further into the year, ORR looks materially undervalued with Cameroon looking exceptionally value creative.

With 1.9b shares issued the company is valued at only £5.7m - should be at least a multiple of 3 compared to other minnows.

Nice try Termite, but the new Chair’s purchase of over 5m shares in the market last month suggests to me that any fund raising is a long way off and would be at a much higher price than the current share price Expect to see some news on asset realisation in the not too distant future - as should be evident for those who have done their research.

kemche, I’m truly flattered that you are missing me so much on the VRS boards that you have to come looking for me here, but I’ll return to that board when I’m good and ready and have more time on my hands.

Skipper - do you think a new bottom may have been spotted at VRS?

Most AIM minnows have a established placing pattern, sometimes annually (like ORR) or even twice or three times annually.

Based on the above most brokers/market participants usually forward sell a slice of stock in anticipation of the next fundraise, they make a nice profit on this short trade, in most cases it's a no brainer.

Now if a company breaks that established pattern you will get unexpected and potentially significant upside as the same participants scramble to close in a thin market.

It does look like Oriole have telegraphed some reasonable non equity options to raise cash for the next 12 months.

So if there is a short position (the share price activity suggests there is) do they stick or twist, would suggest they will evaluate and close out, the shares look a reasonable bet for 30%/50% upside.

Well if they can get £500k for their Elephant shareholding and sell a royalty they could possibly raise £1m/£1.5m which would avoid a equity placing in Q4, that could make the share price very very attractive at current levels.

Looks far too cheap IMO, they could be in for a unexpected cash windfall in the form of their Elephant Oil shares.

Red Rock Resources who hold 4% of EO think their stake could be worth $2m-$3m, ORR stake could add a £500,000 to £750,000 to the cash balance.

I have been adding ORR.

Further proof that they are not doing a raise in the near term. Just had a little top up and looking forward to some decent share price recovery here.

Bagging again Observer007?

Much more than that, they all took options in lieu of salary for 4 months so factor those in and they’re up significantly more in ownership.

It’s all in the financial reports if you care to read them.

Good to see director buying from the new director, collectively they still only have around 1% of the issued capital which is disappointing.

Well spotted silverspoon. Together with other cash likely to come in from the legacy assets that should dispel any fears about the funding for the next drilling campaign in Cameroon.

ORR stake in Elephant Oil could bring in some useful cash, Red Rock made the statement (below) today

ORR has around 150,000 shares in Elephant Oil - work it out, not priced into the market at all IMO.

RRR has c397,873 shares in Elephant Oil Corporation, where an application for listing on a North American market has now been applied for. Current expectations, as reported to RRR, are for an early April listing following submission of an updated quarterly report. Should the listing occur on the terms indicated to us, the Company is likely to possess a liquid asset with a market value in the millions of dollars.

Thanks jackbal, no offence taken. I’m looking for a rise in the share price, so dilution wont be a factor for me as I’m not aiming to ‘own’ a certain % of this, just see a rising share price

I respect your willingness to hold long term but honestly you have no idea whether the assets will benefit you at the current rate of dilution.
Your holding could be diluted significantly even in a success case as opposed to the bod who will simply press the options button.
I sincerely hope you fully understand the territory that Tim’s decisions (or lack of)
have led your investment into when you make excuses for him on this subject.
Hope i haven’t offended just speaking openly

I do the same, but I am looking for the longer term value and expecting a return when the targets are developed a little more, rather than shooting the team mid way through the job!

Yes, the package is a bonus and a curse, but id rather have a lot of good ground than just one or two little pieces of earth in the company.

I guess I’m more attuned to the possible timelines to value and I’m not a holder from the Stratex days, when prices were much higher and it was a different company. I suspect a lot of the negativity links back to those older shareholders who didn’t see their chance to get out before the struggles of 2017.

Glad you think it’s such a success. I measure the success of my trades/investments on the share price vs my entry level.
I’m not denying the geology has potential but you need the financial resources to capitalise.
At the moment Orioles collateral is it’s share price and the market values the whole thing at a posh London house price.
The size of the land package is a blessing and Curse if the only option is to raise a couple mill from private investors and that’s why I’m critical.
It’s not the just the assets that matter it’s the capital structure and huge question marks remain. That’s why we can’t get out of the downtrend in spite of the positive geo data. You see the problem?

Yes I did read report.
What you are saying is that he’s almost made enough progress to avoid crushing dilution.
Maybe he can use that “almost” to pay his invoices.
You either succeed or fail, dilute again or dont dilute again.
Nobody cares if he almost succeeded because the end result is the same

And whilst they’re chasing legacy assets they reduced the cost of that business unit and turned it into a profit centre..

If you’re looking for a negative spin you will always find one, but if you’re looking at the facts you see a different picture.

Which is why should DYOR… not follow the pump and dump crew.
