The problem is tho, BBUS, you are a hostage to his whims. Not in charge.

He did the presentation to attract new shareholders of the value and help the share price at the same time.

Well he probably won’t but he definitely could.

I seriously doubt Ravi has that in mind or would even think of doing that to us or his family. This company has been on the markets a long time through ups and downs.

You might initially think that Ravi with over 11million shares and circa 54% might be concerned at the 30% odd share price fall. However, a cynical view might suggest it was actually in his interest to do nothing to arrest this horrendous fall. He could easily make a bid at some ridiculously low figure and with his holding plus those of friends/relations he would have a reasonable chance of making it stick. Even a relatively “generous̶1; 50p offer, which would very likely succeed, would only cost him circa £4m and he would be getting a bargain.

Any sort of negative news that should come out would only make the situation worse for us shareholders and better for him. That’s not a comfortable position to have got myself in.I clearly made a serious mistake investing in this. It’s another valuable lesson for me that hopefully will not turn out to be too costly.

All the numbers say there' a lot of value here. Just need the company to cooperate in getting that reflected in the share price :-(

Let’s hope so. We seem to have missed the March trading update unless it’s tomorrow but the interims should be the end of March.

Half year report usually comes out towards the end of March, so news soon? Hopefully the share price is not the harbinger of doom and just lack of interest...

As I said before, with zero investor engagement, what can you expect.

One can only hope that they are more attentive to their customers and the business.

Ravi treats this like his own private company IMO. He has no interest in shareholders as far as I can tell and certainly isn’t interested in engaging with them. For example I have sent 2 emails recently without reply which is totally unacceptable but also in my opinion, this lack of engagement has impacted on the share price

There is no doubt value here at this depressed share price but unless Ravi treats investors with respect and starts engaging, then share price will stay that way.

Is it the banking fiasco and worries about interest rates that is somehow worrying investors in Orchard as every step up in the share price sees two moves down?

It is going to need a further presentation to allay fears and hopefully no big seller after this one as it only benefitted him.

We have an excellent Mello show this Monday with a star smaller company fund manager and a CEO who first presented at Mello when the shares were only just over a £1 and it is now £90 with lots of dividends along the 15 year journey so a 100 bagger for those who bought then. No pressure Ravi !

Just a transfer of ownership. Not sure we particularly need the biggest shareholder to keep increasing his stake. The general market probably just giving me a dose of nervousness atm.

1tx that is true however in the specific case I am referring to the shareholding was listed on Orchard website list of Major Shareholdings (when it was over 4%) and subsequently removed by them from the list. Therefore they were perfectly aware that the shareholding had reduced below 3% and failed to report it. If they do not reply to my follow up email I will be referring it to the FCA (who will no doubt do nothing but may investigate and could issue fines).

Why should I be so concerned you may ask? Because as the shareholder reduced through 4% and 3% without the regulation RNS being issued and therefore without us being correctly made aware of the reductions, the share price tanked. An RNS may not have led to me selling in time, or at all however the information about a major shareholder reducing would have been useful. The regulations are there for a reason and they were not followed.

Companies can only notify by RNS changes up or down in holdings by shareholders who own more than 3% of shares if they are notified by the shareholder that their shareholding has passed the incremental 1% threshold. The requirement is on shareholders to notify.

The problem here perhaps with low share valuation is the present general disinterest in microcaps combined with concerns that finance companies may see increasing bad debts & perhaps more likely here rising borrowing costs which they can't fully pass on to customers. Many other Finance shares for example Close Bros,S&U,Secure Trust are on low valuation.

Well they haven’t bothered to reply to my email of 2 weeks ago regarding lack of holding RNS’s. I see this as typical of their lack of shareholder/investor engagement which is not likely to have a positive affect on the share price

Anything north of 50p and I’ll be out. Trouble is I can’t see what will give the share price that sort of impetus.

No need to apologise. It's about reasons. He needs to be told. I resisted from responding but glad you did it. It's a form of manipulation by talking up the shares to influence buying while he was selling. Not good.

Yes, apologies if my posts are annoying anyone but the share price went from >60p to circa 45p during the selling which is a lot more annoying to me. Anyway, I have asked the company for clarification.

On the positive side, I agree that there is a good case for adding at these low levels and I have been doing so, albeit not in significant amounts.
