02/8/2018 08:28 | but they will bid you well if you want to sell.... the mm will have to do something drastic soon to tempt or scare sellers. its either a spike up or a spike down. problem is a spike down gets bought into. | shrewdmole
02/8/2018 08:27 | Thanks, it does say in this naked trader book that stock market traders and company CEO's are all on their holidays during August so its historically slow and hard to get things done! | robo28

02/8/2018 08:07 | robo, im no expert on the director timings. others here are. however I spoke to someone after his lsat buy and it doesn't rule out news. its complex but eg the global lockout, as long as its not signed then he doesn't know its definitely going to result in a deal. I personally don't read too much into that rule. I just think august is slow in every business mine included, but they are close to a few deals so I suspect as trotters has said we could get news anytime. the build up of news on deals over the last 18 months is now turning into the build up of product launches as per yesterdays updates. s | shrewdmole
02/8/2018 08:00 | I would say deals feasible from next week, but more likely the week after. I think Sept will be a huge month for OPTI | trotterstrading
02/8/2018 07:59 | Seems like opti are way ahead of the game on this one then!! | robo28
02/8/2018 07:27 | Do you think Shrewdi that the next deal will be at least September now , as I thought it was at least a month a director had to buy shares before any major announcement that could affect the share price ? | robo28
02/8/2018 06:56 | Risky Great post. It's easy to get excited at recent share price growth after such a long stagnation period but we are only just starting to get noticed by the wider investing public and indeed recent volumes have been very impressive. The bit that was very pertinent for me was the chairmans comment a couple of weeks ago saying he would buy more 'when the time was right'. Now we know August may be slower in getting deals signed it always is but we also know they are close to announcing some Things that imo take Opti to the next level. Soh is brimming with excitement and optimism everytime he is interviewed. I think there is far more going on than we know at present and it sounds like CII trade show went better than expected. It's no surprise we have a series of large buyers in the wings. As was said yesterday the MM will still take large chunks off you if you really want ringer off this train before its left the station. 02/8/2018 06:40 | It's Davidson's third block of £100k buys. First was at 60p second around 70/80p now at 98p. He's buying in to the future of Opti, he'll know who these major corporates we have deals with who's names are currently undisclosed to the market. He'll have a great deal of knowledge behind those deals and the overall strategy moving forward and he'll know the value the industry places on the platforms currently. Let's not forget he holds an OBE for his expertise in some of the markets Opti will be operating in (Dairy in particular)therefore he'll have a better idea than anyone on spotting the next big thing. Clearly has huge confidence that Optis products will make a big difference. In SOH's recent interview SOH mentioned Opti have been approached by 3/4 companies looking to acquire parts of Opti already. SOH though has stated it is far too early as the value is still to be unlocked. | riskybusiness1

01/8/2018 23:08 | What hasn't been mentioned re Davidson buying is that would he knows the progress of the deals that have been struck. So I would assume that deals so far are running in accordance with expectation or above. As chairman he goes to the board meetings and will have the facts. | charlieej
01/8/2018 20:08 | Judi Elrico is right I feel. The uncertainty surrounding what would happen once Opti holders got shred was weighing on the Sbtx price. In effect there could have been a huge overhang. Now it's been intimated it will be a cash divi the brakes are off at Sbtx. Admittedly some of that is due to timing and the trials starting in a few weeks. S | shrewdmole
01/8/2018 20:04 | Much prefer shares myself But hey ho beggars can’t be choosers | judijudi
01/8/2018 19:59 | Given we raised cash not so long ago - could OPTI not have sold/placed out a few SBTX shares and prevented the dilution which only benefited the great and the good (not the plebs) providing a benefit to the existing shareholders (no idea if SBTX IPO had a lock in period tied to our holding) ? Of course the subsequent share price appreciation at SBTX may well have offset this now. | diablo26261 |
