Bernie iis want in at a set price to buy so to up the share price to tempt sellers would probably be above the price iis would pay ie say up share price to £1.10p to sell iis only want to pay £1 so MMs not going to buy of you for £1.10p and sell em for £1

Shrewdie I may be being naive so please help me out here. If there are IIs or big buyers wanting in, why do the MMs hold the price back until the order is filled. Only then after that does the price often take off? Surely the best way is to spike the price up to tempt sellers? I'm (not for the first time) a little perplexed. Cheers Bernie

That was the most blatant non ramp I've ever seen.

Forget the IC article and the Midas article.

We have large scale buyers.

Leave them to fill up and it will put a new base in at around 100p.

News doesn't need to come just yet, have faith.

It has the potential to dip first thing as some take profits but then the buyers will move in - just like we saw today.Since the end of June every single dip has been well bought into.

Unsurprisingly there has been quite a bit of resistance around the psychological barrier of 100p. That was the fourth attempt to push through today. Once that goes, i.e we close above 100p, I think we will be looking at a pretty sharp move upwards just as we witnessed when we went through 75p and then 83.5p (see chart).Newsflow will drive this up to a minimum of 150p by the end of the summer (end Sept) imo.

Shrewdmole - I used to chat with Salim, I do recall a similar pattern to what you say. We had a disagreement, which explains his vendetta against me, which is why I used the filter. You can't debate with a single braincell.I recall the sell advice...."heads up" as if it was an event likely to see my holding take a tumble. ;)

Elric, thanks for offer to set up a new BB but I would prefer to keep it here. I think you may underestimate the hassle of administering a BB and we need your precious time for analysing OPTI. Also, we should be trying to get new listeners and contributors to enrich the debate and we'll get more through this BB than yours. I listen in on a few other ADVFN BB's and this one is by far the most constructive; all the BB's have got a few WUMs and daft comments, but proportionally the OPTI BB has the fewest. I haven't filtered the monkey but I skip his comments because I know what he's going to say.
