Bitcoin passes $5,000 today.

Over twice the price as when I last mentioned them on here less than 5 months ago.

#Bitcoin flies past $2,300 and $2,400 for the first time as scaling agreement is reached."

p.s in 2012 they traded at less than $10.

Lounheact - Good spot. OPTI are always conducting trials across all its platforms, some will be to proof the science, others to tweak it, as we have learned with SlimBiome strain. I'm sure once there is significance to any results we will be informed...until then, its commercial mission creep ;)

You can buy well within the current offer. The 2611 at 68.69p is a buy.

Optibiotix Appetite Study - Call for participates. I'm guessing this is for Slimbiome? Although, I thought all studies on this were complete, unless it's a different product?

The volume is so small, there is not much buying. I wouldn't say there is a seller when the volume is the way it is, there simply isn't enough buying!

Photobucket now working - here's the chart to go with yesterday's post...

marnewton 11 Oct '17 - 16:06 - 27924 of 27939    5   0   Edit

Here's an interesting thought, nimrod (my Dad's tune;¬), the 50 day SMA hasn't been breached (as support) on a two day closing basis since August, when we also punched out of the top of the descending channel. Prior to that, as resistance, it was last breached in May, briefly.

At least it's rising now, just, along with the 200 day SMA.

Having said that, a brief excursion to around 65.00p would firm up the ascending channel (log scale) by putting in a third point of contact on the lower trendline.

Log scale daily candlestick chart:

50 day SMA - blue
200 day SMA - red
8 day EMA - yellow

I think you all know my views on the distribution. SOH has been badly advised. But, in the grand scheme of things, it's a minor hiccup.

Folks, lets not do the SBTX subject again as it has no conclusion and endless speculation in spades..........

Shrew,
From my understanding of the legislation the only way the in specie dividend could be made is if the asset that was being distributed, was of no value in the books of the distributor. Unless I am mistaken this clearly is not the case here.

someuwin a bit of a naive post there, when SOH spun sbxn off thats when the value of OPTI was reduced and that why as an existing shareholder you get shares in the new company

Didn’t this allow money to be raised to finance SBTX without causing too much dilution for OPTI shareholders?
If SBTX does well, OPTI and it’s shareholders will also benefit.

I can't understand why people get excited about distribution of SBTX shares.

They aren't 'free shares' - you already own them via your OPTI holding.

If OPTI give them away, OPTI reduces in value by an equal amount.

SOH should abandon the idea as a pointless exercise. imo.

It would be very disappointing if we need to wait until 2019, also very disappointing we haven't heard any more news this week as we are all expecting so much to come. The volume and drop yesterday was pathetic.

Wreckage

I thought that applied to dividends in general that the paying of dividends could only happen when profits allowed.

Now aren't we talking about share distribution rather than in specie dividends?

My understanding was free shares for Opti holders at a certain date in time not a cash dividend that as you say must be backed up by profits.

So in essence what Opti would do is transfer some of their holding to Opti holders which is purely a share transfer?

Just my thoughts.
