Offering 11.98p now when they bought plenty at 11-11.2p so the mm's are laughing as always

From memory I have never seen OPG drop on any results day since I first put it on my monitor.

Andy, that has always been the case though hasn't it?... That Gupta has owned 50%, and that didn't stop the share price going north of a pound a few years back.

If you apply a simple NPV to the cashflows, it is worth way more than the current share price. I agree. Double or triple probably. The trouble is you, as a minority in a minority have no real say in or control over those cashflows. The non execs are weak and feeble and Gupta does what he wants. So yup NPV it and it’s cheap. But it’ll stay cheap until Gupta buys out the minority for a miserable premium.

The valuation is way off imo

'But how the can the value of the power plant be worth more than the company? When the Company owns the Power Plant
OPG Enterprise Value is £81,556,532.54
The Power Plant is worth £172,716,040 according to the March 2021 Balance sheet take away a couple million for land and Other stuff like vehicles
So
Enterprise value/ Property, plant and equipment = 0.47
Which gives the Coal power plant a fair value of 25p on its own
But somehow its trading at 11.75p
The valuation makes zero sense - A Share Buyback is needed right now cos the coal prices have tanked
I truly believe the company is worth £300 Million using Future cash flow just a shame they cant raise tariffs like the EU'

Does anyone else have the same line of logic? You would be laughed out the Board room if you offered anything under 200m for this company

Interims soon, can see the price going up a lot when they announce the next set of profits and reduction in debt

Previous interims have been 27-28th Nov and 3rd Dec so not long now to wait

It's a mad market AA

loss making companies with prices flying and buyers all over them and then you have profitable recovery stocks on PER's of 2-5 and friendless, well Opg was friendless until that tip kicked a lot of life into it.
