I wouldn't be at all surprised if we had some 'covid' investors move over to ORPH in the short term.

Clearly, a number will have had their fingers burnt today and may be looking for a much safer investment, with a secure high growth future ahead of it.

CF mentioned all this in his recent presentations. He mentioned successful vaccines initially would have limited periods of immunity. The market is reacting as if it’s all over and all the other companies will stop their vaccine developments . Madness

Just helped myself to another 100,000. A total gift at these levels . This has been well flagged previously by CF nd it changes nothing for OO going forward at Covid Challenge studies will continue as will viral vaccines testing . Incredible share price response .

Nothing has changed here potential wise, ORPH tests the effectiveness and viability of the vaccines produced by the pharmaceuticals the more the merrier

the contract has been signed and facilities provided by HM Gov if you think they will renege on the deal sell now as all contracts are in danger of being cancelled for everything on that basis. Regards the unsigned CV19 studies the market wasn't even pricing in contracts we have agreed, outside CV19, so wouldn't worry about not getting challenge studies I would however caution you that CF said that the initial vaccine will only last about 6 months and nobody expects there to be only one strain of covid never mind one vaccine. If you really want to panic the Russians developed and started distributing a vaccine a month or so ago so its all over now the world is safe and we will never need CV19 testing again. I dont believe that and will continue holding here and AVCT.
The business model here is still sound and disposals I believe will cover the current price worrying now is pointless IMHO it just means we have to wait a bit longer for full value here.

ironman22, Do you honestly think that this Pfizer vaccine news will mean no challenge studies for COVID vaccines over the next few years??? Plenty of other vaccines in development and all of them will need to refine their offerings over time, rush to get them out now, but it will be second and third generation ones that will be needed long term.

40 Million has not been paid yet only 10 Million, they've paid the deposits that is all.
No there are no more bookings except CF has made it clear that there are 6 or 7 possible deals for the covid challenge study at 10 million each which equates to 60 or 70 million and the market will have believed that these will be coming through which is why I mentioned 100 Million. If they come through then great but we haven't had any confirmation yet.

I don't understand some people. We'll still get exactly the same number of covid challenge studies as before. Eventually, there'll be 10 or 12 covid vaccines, things don't stop just because one manufacturer says one vaccine prospect has had an initial good phase 3 result. I hope it eventually gets approved, but it has a fair way to go yet.And noncovid challenge studies will increase every year for many years imv.

I see some of the the FTSE100 companies have also had ridiculous reactions but in the opposite direction, completely farcical.

Annoyed that I don't have the free funds to add more here at this level.

Some of the money for testing already in our bank account and the rest is guaranteed by the govt. 40 million not to be sniffed at but the punters think otherwise and the mm's playing a blinder as per usual.
