£40 million is the current revenue from CV19 plus what ever the antibody testing is generating. The £40 million government money is to develop a CV19 test strain and 3 non refundable challenge studies deposits. None of that revenue is going back. We have no bookings for any CV19 work apart from that. The clinic is booked out with non CV19 challenge studies for 18 months and we are looking into expand around the world doing challenge studies. Not seeing the revenue hit here. The wearables database is still as valuable as CV19 still needs detecting. Add in if the buyers never knew there was a vaccine coming then they should not be in charge of a company that size, even CF has been telling us for weeks one will be with us by the spring.

ironman22, Covid related work will continue. We are a long way from a vaccine being a cure all. I did not buy ORPH because of COVID. As CF explained if CV19 disappeared tomorrow he would not be losing any sleep. My point was we are are far from a one trip pony and people will hopefully recognise that fact, if they have done their homework of course.

Good news on the vaccine front & doesn't change ORPH's situation at all.

Based on the retrace, clearly some people still haven't grasped the sound investment case here or have panicked due to ?.

Didn't think I'd have another chance to buy at these levels, but a great opportunity to be adding now based on what's due to come with ORPH.

Agree 22, the main reason for the rise in the Orph share price recently is COVID testing so it’s no great surprise at this reaction but to be fair, the Pfizer news doesn’t really change a lot and won’t in any way affect testing for other new and existing vaccines. Nobody knows how long this vaccine lasts so there is a lot to be conservative about on it’s usefulness. I’m hoping Orph gets pulled even further back so I can add more because I didn’t think I’d get this chance again.

Ironman, no matter which company gets 1st to market, there is going to be a need for more than one vaccine going forwards.

Yes ORPH benefits from COVID, but the mistake here is to think that this one vaccine, even if proven successful at the next stage, somehow solves the whole covid situation! There will be so many covid vaccines going forward, including new efforts from Pfizer themselves as the vaccine improves and the virus mutates and all will need testing. This is the point Cathal has made numerous times but seemingly falls on many deaf ears.

m5 with all due respect possibly 100 Million of OO's revenue could be from Covid related work, so you can't really say we're not a covid stock. Yes we have other revenue streams but Covid is possibly going to account for a huge chunk of revenue.

Not sure what effect people think the very preliminary results of the vaccine has on orph. Fa if you ask me.Still great for mankind IF the very preliminary results lead to positive further results. I think authorisation for use is still a long way off, even under emergency considerations.Orph just carries on exactly as normal, raking in the cash, flogging challenge studies, data, phase 3 drugs etc etc.

Punters panicking. Best to do FA on days like today if you are in stocks that are dumping. Covid is going to be around for a long time and as we have said before vaccine testing is here to stay and billions will be poured into the sector.

Will be buying a lot more when it settles. Should be a sizeable bounce here when those who understand ORPH start buying more. Nonsense drop here, can only assume people think the vaccine is covid done and dusted(!)

Exactly. Massive over reaction. This will shake things up as a lot of people will have been hung out to dry this morning. Margin calls the works, so its going to be volatile and have a knock on effect as people sell to cover other positions. Welcome to the markets, NCYT down 35%.

Good entry point for people looking to take a position here.

They can’t confirm how long immunity is for . Doesn’t affect OO. All the other vaccines rests will continue . CF mentioned this . Everyone is reacting that it’s all over . Crazy.
