Morning. I'm a happy bunny here. Candy from a baby after ALD update yesterday. Closed now as this was a short term trade for me.

Another nice boring trading statement from OSB - continues to perform strongly and EPS should be up around 20% this year, so around 50p. Market expectations are a little behind this at 48.4p, but either way puts the PE for the year just finishing around 8x, and show momentum going into next year. Am a happy holder

So 20% growth now at broadly similar margins to last year - I.e. We have got a profits upgrade today.

Remember, this growth is at the same margins as last year, this stock has been consistently mispriced to the low side IMHO.

Maz, ALD selling cheaply amidst superb results as Investec called them.Their update this morning included this line: "We have increased our support for SMEs, providing the vital financing they need to succeed, and have continued to see strong levels of growth in our Buy-to-Let portfolio as we capitalise on the trends of increasing professionalisation in the market"

I'm not quite so ecstatic and am disappointed the BoD accepted the first offer made to them and I was rather hoping for a Counter offer, ALD is surely worth more. Question is where to reinvest the proceeds?

Bought some more today first thing, should have waited an hour.ALD comment in strong BTL trading is positive for OSB ahead of its trading update IMHO.
