Also sold mine this morning, bought around the same time just after 'Flower's wilt' to qualify for divi., but will be back. What broker's offering T20? Mine (iii) only allows buys if you've got cleared funds.

Do we know what interest JC Flowers still have in OSB?
Edit: Have answered my own question - Morning Star info: show that JC Flowers still holds 52,447,557 - 21.54%, assuming these figures are accurate.

Yes, can't disagree with that, PAG up 3.2% right now and it is a lot higher rated than OSB to begin with IMHO.

I have also bought into OSB today and already holding VM. and some ALD.

Looked into valuations of both ALD and SHAW before and after an offer was received and by comparison both OSM and VM. are undervalued by approximately 35%.

Haven't bought in anticipation of a takeover particularly but there is a chance that sentiment will change towards this sector.

Bought into OSB this morning (also VM.). With ALD subject to a takeover it is only highlighting just undervalued the whole challenger bank sector is.

Jefferies Intl has a buy rating and 512p target for OSB this morning.

I think we could well see some Press comment over the weekend concerning FirstRand's Cash Bid for ALD, that may translate into 'added interest' in acquiring shares in Challenger Banks generally and hopefully, OSB in particular. MTRO, PAG & VM all did well, having 'taken off' almost immediately following the announcement to the 'market' of ALD's Bid today

On Investec nos. for ALD and OSB for next year:ALD - 35.92 EPS takeout at 313p, so 12.82% discount OSB - 52.51 EPS at same discount is 452p share price.

City chatter speculating that Aldermore could be taken back into the hands of private equity just two-and-a-half years after floating lifted the challenger bank towards the top of the record high FTSE 250.The consensus of analysts believe that Aldermore is a cheap bet for investors at its current valuation, making it ripe for a takeover.However, Aldermore was only taken public in 2015 by private equity firm Anacap, which remains its top shareholder with a 25pc stake, and the mid-cap firm is more likely to be the subject of advances from another challenger bank looking to consolidate, according to one analyst.The swirling rumours and a short squeeze â€" when a heavily shorted stock is pushed higher by short sellers closing their positions â€" lifted Aldermore 10.1p to 256p on thick trading volumes with the wider FTSE 250 hitting its highest ever close at 20,251.24. Yes, noted and pleased also to say that I hold ALD. Let's hope this trend for the Sector continues. I believe its not the first time that OSB made gains on Ex-Div day.
