27/11/2024 08:06 | Bit optimistic expecting us to be valued as a music rights holder when they have already decided to set up a record label. It does beggar belief that major holders have not forced the issue and kicked on MI. Maybe this will be the trigger for them to wake up. | horndean eagle
27/11/2024 08:03 | Certainly not the Management's finest hour. That £5m could have bought a lot of music rights. Hopefully, they will focus all their efforts on that now. | investmentguru
27/11/2024 07:18 | O my god. Even worse than my worst case scenario we have had to effectively pay someone to take TCAT if us. £5 million spent. Total disaster and really the board need a good sorting out. Absolutely shocking Upside is we can now be valued as a music rights holder but with this management why would anyone invest | harrogate
24/10/2024 13:18 | So it is 5 months since the TCAT App was launched. No news since so must be odds on that it is struggling. Of course the App wouldn't really produce much revenue anyway - what we need is for a number of the large music companies or rights holders to adopt the technology and pay us some decent money. I suspect that we are now desperate to sell off TCAT to stop the bleeding and just get back to being a music rights holder - Probably end up selling it for a nominal sum just to get the costs taken on by someone else. What we thought was going to be a golden goose has turned into a complete drag on the business and potentially a waste of the £5m spent We are pretty much at a 6 year low, there can hardly be anyone who is not sitting at a loss Given TCAT has its own management and development team and we aren't doing any rights deals it is very very hard to understand what the board and senior management do all day. Can't see we go anywhere until we get news of TCAT offload and then might get hit anyway if the sum received is where I suspect What a shame as I think the Company was in at the right time and place As they say a good product with poor management will always struggle | harrogate
16/8/2024 16:49 | Bought some recently below the 4p mark, might come good, maybe not. MI says the shares are "dreadfully under priced" and is seemingly looking to separate the technical side from the music side, in what corporate future form remains to be seen. I thought it interesting that Ray Dorset of Mungo Jerry is a fan and user of TCAT | jeff h
10/7/2024 08:26 | I changed my mind about TCAT and think its ok to be spending on it. Omip isn’t big enough to be an income stock - its not secure enough for me to put a large sum in to get income - too risky compared to some of the large FTSE stocks. Especially when you consider the valuation issues and tricky market forces prsent in music royalties. I bought as a growth stock and it kind of morphed into something else. So for me, it makes sense to use the steady income to invest in something that might turn it into a proper growth stock. In fact that’s not a bad model when you consider the other options of placings or debt that other small floated businesses go through. Same goes for all small stocks trying to please investors with dividends. The UK needs growth stocks like never before. | yump
09/7/2024 18:12 | Perhaps investors think that OMIP is just not big enough to be developing what appears to be a ground-breaking bit of tech. and to promote it into a serious SaaS earner. I thought it was supposed to be being used by significant labels ages ago but it took years to find out what its earnings were and they were small. It does seem over the years that its like a small personal business, where it feels great to be running it and be in touch with the industry and being positive about it, but where the reality is that its pretty insignificant. | yump
09/7/2024 07:13 | Well I got this wrong again. Thought the launch of TCAT and the very likely large reduction in spend on it would mark a base from which the value of the core content would start to be recognised. Sellers seem to be getting out at any price. Probably just given in rather than something to come out but what a destroyer of a good business TCAT has been. Shame really. | harrogate
28/6/2024 07:20 | Nothing to see here really. Was Amazon mentioned before in 2022, with the effect of Prime on revenue ? Hope so as its material. That business is a nasty parasite, taking a cut from millions of purchases from our businesses, because we’re too lazy to find individual businesses and buy direct. Hypocritical to moan at government when we’ve shafted our own small businesses ourselves. | yump
28/6/2024 07:18 | More of the same. Steady rights income and cash sunk into the TCAT money-pit. Reading between the lines, TCAT will be sold off, floated off, shares distributed in specie, or shut down afore long IMO. All great outcomes and could well double the share price overnight IMO. We´ll see...some poor outcomes look remotely possible too - not sure what the risks are surrounding AI - maybe illegal websites streaming AI modified versions of music and corresponding reduction in rights revenue? Might end up being like all the illegal SKY/Netflix streamers I suppose - popping up like frogs everywhere. Can´t imagine that being such a big problem but who knows... | eezymunny
06/6/2024 13:43 | buys now at 5.9 great to see | qs99
06/6/2024 13:16 | if they get this right, then could be a very decent money spinner for them. DYOR, but Mr Market seems to like the potential. Hopefully they have some good Sales dudes selling it as well | qs99
06/6/2024 11:14 | I wonder what the value of the catalogue is in the open market. Could do what some REIT’s are doing. Return most of money to shareholders and leave us a stake in ready-to-float (in better times) TCAT. Atm regardless of dividend its stagnant money of mine ! | yump
06/6/2024 09:43 | Not quite there with the link to the demo missing: | niggle
06/6/2024 07:57 | Let's hope so. I bought a few more this week for the first time for over 3 years. Surely we are one step closer to TCAT not being a drag. The main issue here for me is management. Di they have the desire to maximise shareholder returns which to get anywhere close to the NAV number stated will need to involve a sale. | harrogate
06/6/2024 07:48 | Have we finally turned the corner. If the major expenditure on TCAT has come to an end and they can get some sales momentum we should see a major re-rating. | the shuffle man
03/6/2024 09:21 | With most (?) of the R&D of TCAT done, one would hope there would be only two outcomes: . TCAT success i.e. some decent level of profitability, sufficient to justify historic and future costs. A big win from here (20p+). or . TCAT failure i.e. fails to gain traction and continues to be a cash burner. You'd hope they'd slim down costs in that case, so that the "rights" part of the company gets a reasonable valuation (operative NAV per Ordinary Share of 18p, don't forget, which doesn't look wild when you look at revenues and takeover valuation at SONG). A win from here (15p+). So could be a case of win or win big. That caused me to buy, hopefully at the lows. It's not, of course, ever that straightforward. The temptation to carry on with TCAT development, even after gaining traction looks unlikely will be high. | eezymunny
31/5/2024 17:05 | It looks like a finished product anyway. So that is a step forward. If we assume a figure of £5m invested so far, how much ARR do they need for it to be valued at that level based on current SAAS multiples? It depends on growth rate and being cash flow breakeven but has to be at least £500k - £700k with a 25% grow rate. It is hard to see that level of revenue coming from the small user licence fee levels. it will need a coupke if lsreg industry pksyers to tsjexup the system i woykd think licebce levejs so will in | harrogate
31/5/2024 07:18 | TCAT App launched yesterday with new web site. Let’s hope it gains traction. | the shuffle man
23/5/2024 14:54 | Interesting let's hope it's well received The new TCAT Protect App is launching end of May 2024See the TCAT app demo here. | the shuffle man
30/4/2024 09:30 | I think it would help if the Company bought back shares even at the expense of the dividend. It would be a good signal that buying them is paying 25p for something worth a pound. Anything to shake up the current complete absence of interest. Director buys might help but only if significant and not at a token level | harrogate

29/4/2024 19:21 | Thankfully they are a top broker !!A top broker has upgraded its forecasts for One Media IP, the group that owns the intellectual property rights to songs by artists such as Take That, Gloria Gaynor and Louis Armstrong, saying it is the last UK listed way for investors to get exposure to music royalties.Broker Cavendish Capital Markets has upgraded its full year forecasts for digital music rights buyer One Media IP, which today posted a five per cent increase in total revenue to £5.4m in 2023, driven by growth in royalty revenue.Cavendish said it has raised guidance for adjusted diluted earnings per share by 46 per cent to 0.24p, due to One Media's efficiency efforts, including its plan to reduce spend on its anti-piracy software TCAT that has been eaten into profit. It also raised pre-tax and post-tax profit forecasts by 40 per cent to £0.8m and 43 per cent to £0.6m, respectivel | the shuffle man
29/4/2024 08:15 | IG Fair enough. Unfortunately advfn is full of folk who appear on threads out of nowhere, with a single fact picked out of some results for some reason. Perhaps your username isn’t meant to be serious. The point you made has been addressed often on here. The hope is that in some way TCAT may end up moving the business from an also-ran royalty business into something more exciting. From that perspective 30K drop is an irrelevance. | yump |
