I'm also intrigued to know whether GIS are still operating or if the SEC was able to ban them with immediate effect pending the court action? This point was not clear from the SEC papers as far as I could see...

I had no communications of any sort from IG neither will they assist like HL. Shareholders should quite rightly exerts some pressure on brokers to provide uniform basic services.
For example Halifax will allow dividends passed straight into bank accounts, whereas all IG said "we do not provide such a service."

Agree Gary1966, we shouldn't give up... Gunn has engineered this de-listing to reduce any scrutiny he might face, so it's in our interests as shareholders to keep the company listed if possible, that way the whole saga remains in the public domain.

I'd have though we have a decent chance of defeating him especially if Roger Barby votes against with his 9.23% holding - I can't think why he would vote in favour of delisting or even abstain? To have any chance ALL shareholders need to chase up their broker and push them to act IMMEDIATELY!

Festario,

It will be if private investors just give up at the first hurdle. Have you contacted them to ask them why they haven't notified you of the corporate action and what are they going to do to make sure their clients can vote in a timely fashion? Instruction to vote must be emailed before 11am on Monday. Still plenty of time if they pull their finger out.

Is there any reason you didn't contact them as soon as the RNS detailing the timetable was announced?

Ochs, I hold OCT with ii, and with Halifax SD.Neither have any information about the vote, but it's largely irrelevant in my opinion.

So HL finally sent a Secure Message to clients about the delisting vote yesterday afternoon - their deadline is noon on Friday 8th, so they've not given people much time to vote, but it should mean more people bother to vote now as it can be done easily through the online account without needing to send a Secure Message.

Does anyone with an ii account know if they've contacted clients in a similar way? I think the ii combined holding was larger than HL.

Probably done a runner. I wouldn't be surprised.

Wrote to the company before Christmas asking what steps they were taking about making the AGM open accessible and transparent for shareholders given the potential lockdown measures and the Company's written assertions that the AGM was a forum for the minority shareholder. To date, rather predictably they have not responded.

I think the dividend will probably be canned i'm afraid. If they take legal advice its probable that any dividend is now potentially illegal, as subsequent events should be taken into account.

Yes, I'm hopeful they'll at least continue with the payment on 12th Jan - JG might need the cash for his own personal legal costs!

Although knowing their track record there'll probably be an RNS just after 1pm today with the market shutting at 12:30 again...

A long shot and perhaps grasping at straws, maybe JG will pay out a fat special dividend to extract whatever value he can from the balance sheet before the SEC and FCA take the company to the cleaners. I won't complain if he does.

They have not yet stated that they intend to rescind the dividend payable on 12th January. What is the probability that we will get it?

They are useless in almost every department !

How they have most of the market shows there is little competition, there's me thinking Oct could have entered this market for small cap punters but now we know
they are just a bunch of crooks.

No, they don't seem to have set it up - which is annoying as they do for other companies, and usually inform shareholders! You need to send them a Secure Message it seems.

Can we not manually vote on the HL website ?

HL acknowledged yesterday that they have received and will action my AGM instructions. Despite what's happened since it's still important we all vote AGAINST the delisting - it's clearly a ploy so Gunn can face less scrutiny, being AIM listed at least keeps the whole saga in the public eye.

Quick question... are GIS still trading as normal? ie. are they settling trades for their 'customers' since the SEC charges?

Thordon - we've known why for ages, the reasons were posted on this board at least 2 years ago. The reasons are in the prospectus, for goodness sake.

Indeed, I've been very much against the use of torture, but I might make an exception in the case of John Gunn.

Hopefully John Gunn will be able to get Zoom working from his prison cell, the AGM wouldn't be the same without him
