Ocdo needs to address M&S and Kroger issues. I remain of the view the CEO should be replaced with those with a proven track record. Ocdo knew when to call it a day in the above investment- shareholders need to see a better future for Ocado.

Yes I got that one wrong but I have not been tempted back, a lot of damage has been done after what looked like a good run up to 1000p. Dead cat bounce after the results that may have tricked a few.

I will remained sidelined for a few months to see where we are at then. Risky unless global market can break through the current double top.

I think M&S would like the other 50% at the right price. M&S are investing a lot in their store estate so any purchase may need a strong share price to fund the purchase.
Ocado without UK retail would be a pure technology business.

Ocado still has the option to sell the remaining 50% of UK Ocado retail joint venture to M&S if Ocado need the cash. M&S may push for a better deal if they know Ocado need the cash.

The H1 23 results stated a net debt of £900.7m. If you remove the bond liabilities of £1450m, which will be rolled over in due course that leaves Ocado with £550m.Given they increased net debt by over £300m in H1 23 I would assume H2 23 will be a little less than this, but in the same ballpark.It basically means they don't have a lot of money to play with. What method they will use to raise more money will be interesting.Cheers,Niels

Found this article from last year from Fitch, which has Ocado at a B+ rating with a negative outlook.httPS://www.fitchratings.com/entity/ocado-group-plc-96516275They point out the bond rollovers in 2025-26 into a higher interest market as being of concern.I see Ocado paying off those bonds as unlikely in this decade while servicing the interest payments will be a drag on profitability should it occur.Cheers,Niels

yes, bearish market mood today and maybe it will change in 15 minutes when physical opens but TBH it seems quite unlikely as US bond yields have risen today . I have been out for a few hours and notice OCDO has pulled back sadly .

smart to not have a position today Neilsc as even good results are often not as good as market expected . Yes, how it affects the bottom line is the key . Still kicking on today and near high for the day .

Arja,That is exactly the reason I closed out prior to this. Although it only has reversed yesterdays loss so far.I think the real test will be to see what the cost of this growth has been. Given the price matching I think margins will be tighter than ever so I still expect to see a typical cash burn for H2 23.Cheers,Niels

good results and shows how dangerous it can be to hold a position on day results come out but good if you were long :) . Uk indices hit today but not held OCDO back as yet .

My stops were taken out at 695, not tempted back since, a disappointing start to ‘24 for this one.
