01/5/2007 19:38 | red - why so confident??? | slapdash
01/5/2007 19:02 | Be patient slap, you'll still make 50k or so on OKD. | redtelephone
01/5/2007 09:51 | Had never noticed the play on his name before - maybe Turpin is an assumeed name? | spaceparallax
01/5/2007 07:37 | space this is just ridiculous.... 1st of May and no results.. or notice of results... what is going on??? If I had had results earlier I could of bought elsewhere and would of probably have made 50k or so..... Turpin you turnip.... Slapper | slapdash
30/4/2007 19:04 | Slap, Your typing is deteriorating - are you on something? I'm in a hell of a lot - some would say too many at about 40. Quite a few healthy looking miners, several not so healthy looking energy, a few pharm/bio types and a host of tech types that are showing mixed fortunes. Are you in RCG? If not, the current non-performance related dip is a good oppo to enter. | spaceparallax
30/4/2007 18:26 | not a director... just a holder.... who has transferred shares to his wife for divorce... so doesn't have a personal notifiable interest... One positive thing is that April has been the sunniest on record I think... which should bode well for their sales... and with Spanish flats apparently going down in price people shoudl buy closer to home... but this is all speculation.... I would of thoughts their sites woudl do well and they could have a P/E under 6 for the next three years and probably more.. the crux is if interest rates go up too much and scare off their buyers..... I think the supply and demand situation is still compeling though with London growing in size nad the south east too.... and supply curtailed by planning restricitons... so fundamentally they should do well.... there is also the aspect that foreigners are driving the market here to a large extent so we should be insulated from insterest rate rises a little... but again just so frustrating waiting for Turpin to bother to give us the results... anyway space whatelse are you in????? Slappe | slapdash
30/4/2007 16:27 | Another Director using shares for divorce settlement! | spaceparallax
27/4/2007 16:20 | Slap, I agree, certainly trying the patience. Fortunately, I feel no anxiety. | spaceparallax
27/4/2007 14:49 | space this is getting ridiculous... hopefully results next week.... looks like definetely in May though.... Slapper | slapdash
23/4/2007 20:16 | very low volume... I would really hope results are this week or Monday next.. being in May is just a really poor show... Slapper | slapdash
23/4/2007 17:22 | A 10,000 buy lifed these a little. He/she probably knows the results will be good. Or am I wishful thinking? | ffedup
20/4/2007 09:47 | Cheer up mate - can't be long to wait now. | spaceparallax
19/4/2007 19:25 | other people getting bored too space.... if results aren't next week I will cry!!!!! Slapper | slapdash
18/4/2007 15:26 | Slap, Understand you frustration. Perhaps one bright point might be (perhaps you've said it before) the fact that if we've got no TS, it would suggest that everything's going according to forecast or better and they see no need to pep up the share price until results. On the other hand, I could be talking a load of B.....ks! | spaceparallax
18/4/2007 13:46 | Slap, You're certainly hard at work looking for a reason. I think the original one remains favourite i.e. they're not a company that dances to the shareholders tune - generally a frustrating trait, although in theory it should mean that they follow the right long-term strategy rather than seek to comfort us. | spaceparallax
18/4/2007 13:40 | A theory on the late results could be due to a directors dealing in February. I think that the director in question was leaving the company anyway.... in any event I think director dealings have to be two months before the results.. so in this instance that would be say about 23rd April this month when they can have their results... the dealing in question: RNS Number:7893R Oakdene Homes PLC 23 February 2007 Oakdene Homes plc ("Oakdene" or the "Company") Director Shareholding Oakdene was informed today that Mr Ronald Fender, a director of the Company, sold 65,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 20 February 2007, at 209p per share. Following this sale, his remaining interest in the Company is 100,000 ordinary shares, representing 0.31% of the Company's issued share capital. 17/4/2007 14:48 | well I guess last year the notice of results was on 21st April... and results were supposed to be 11th May... but were post poned to 18th May... so I guess we will be getting results that are considerably behind when most ocmpanies report.... in 05 they managed to do a notice of results on 11th April and results on 20th April.. so they announce notice say about 8 days before results... I guess with IFRS it takes a bit longer to do the results... but I would hope we would get them before May.... On the plus side when they are out won't be long until the AGM or the interims!!! With AGM in June.... so only about two months after... But I have to say having results four months or more after a year-end does seem a bit poor to me... and not bothering with a trading statement likewise... Slapper | slapdash
11/4/2007 11:13 | Slap, O/T, MTI took a snap dip to 36p earlier, but quickly recovered. | spaceparallax
10/4/2007 16:59 | space... MTI might be worth a look but preoccupied at the moment.. Well anyway if they do their notice of results like they did last year it could come out tomorrow.. with results say 10 days.. that is what happend in 05... 06 results were delayed because of IFRS... So anyway, come on Oakdene let us have the numbers!!!! worrying that when there are reasonable volumes of buys always seems to be a delayed sell trade at the end of the day... which long-term holder is feeding us jonny come lately's stock and why?? Slapper | slapdash
10/4/2007 14:10 | Slap, Few things in life are risk free - however, as we know, with risk comes potential reward. I'm not sure that NewH was any more risky than many other developments - true, it required vision and belief that a strong market exists for that product. On the other hand, the Authorities in Newhaven must surely be very supportive of a good quality transformation from delapidated waterfront facility to desirable waterside reidential development - given the early outworkings of the Project, they would be hard-pushed to justify making life difficult. O/T, Have you looked at MTI Wireless Edge (MWE)? - totally unrelated but with a drifting share price that significantly undervalues the Company when considering their very solid (albeit shortish) track record. | spaceparallax
10/4/2007 11:45 | was looking at their new website at the weekend and was impressed... Newhaven looks spectacular..... and other sites appear to be progressing well.. should be loads of cashflow coming in given Newhaven/Swayland sales... so hopefully they won't have to raise more cash in the event that they wish to buy another Newhaven type site... still a risky investment as we are hoping they will get planning permission for the rest of the Newhaven site... Slapper | slapdash
10/4/2007 10:38 | Slap, Pleased to hear that the dialogue here has helped to exorcise a few demons and that, as a result, you've topped up. RT, the more I hear about Newhaven and its proximity to Brighton and Europe, the more I become sold on what a winner the development should prove to be. Moreover, the town itself should benefit hugely from the facelift effect Overall, it's difficult to see why the results might disappoint - we've had absolutely no suggestion to that effect. | spaceparallax
10/4/2007 09:33 | The ad. in The Times could spark interest in the shares. | this_is_me |
