Hi mad foetus. I do keep an eye on that fund but according to Hargreaves Lansdown information none of the fund's top 10 holdings include any of the companies which came out of my filter. Which ones did you have in mind?

Can't sleep tonight so drifting around ADVFN and noticed this thread. Impvesta, you might be interested to know that at least two of the companies that come out on your filter are too 10 holdings in the Sanford Buffetology Fund which is run on the Warren Buffett approach.

I'm happy to do that harleymaxwell. 7 companies ticked all the boxes in my filter. They are, in alphabetical order, Airea, Creightons, Lighthouse, North Midland Construction, Northern Bear, Titon Holdings, Triad.

My filter, in detail, is:
1. Market cap < 50m
2. Price sales ratio < 0.75
3. 1 Year relative strength > 50
4. Dividend paying
5. No gearing
6. Making profits (before extraordinary items)

Hope that's not too O/T

I've dipped a small toe in the water today after researching this one. It passed all my filters when screening for profitable companies with small market cap, low price sales ratio, dividend paying and no gearing.

i really like the way the XD was so close to the RNS on the ints. Many companies wait for months before XD delaying cash outflow etc....

Looking at the trades it seems to me there may be someone with a decent number of shares selling a few day after day. Mostly in lots of 2500 although sometimes 2000, maybe 4000 but a round number.

I also suggest they've decided they would not wish to disturb the price and sell them at a rate which the market can absorb.

Set against this I think there's also a large buyer in the background who is trying to buy them without disturbing the price as every so often buys of around 4000 shares are going through.

I find it interesting that today 6000 sells have gone through and yet there has been no reaction in the price because most of the time the MM's would have been quick to react to such volume

Forgot to add, pleased to see the doubling of the dividend. That as much as anything else shows the confidence the board have in the future.

Pleasantly surprised with the price action today. I thought the results were solid and testament to the good work being done behind the scenes, however with recent run upto £4 I was half expecting the market to be underwhelmed. That said I might be overly critical as these are my largest holding therefore I'm programmed to be extra cautious.
