IMHO we are still in limbo in regards to the market sentiment, there is a little more confidence to warrant today's market cap, but we will need proof that things are on track for the market to wake up to NPH. The results will be the prelude to the JV news. When the JV is all signed off then things will really start look good for NPH. Their cash situation will be sorted and IMHO I believe they will be taken over before any of their compounds come to market, and their compounds will come to market hence the JV which will make sure they do? Just my thinking.

Frankly I`m past caring about When , I`m more concerned about What .

After all this time I sincerely hope that when they DO break cover ,
it will indeed be ground breaking news .
Anything less , will be a big disappointment and presumably will negatively impact the Share price .
IF , the news is as we all hope , then I think we will be very pleased with the effect that will have on the share price .

I suppose it could be a sell being worked - perhaps Octopus are looking at reducing further - they reduced by 220K or so earlier in the week. Whatever is happening, this is a big drop on small volume . . . however, as we've seen, it moves up just as quick.

Hmmm . . . to top up or not to top up?

FWIW, I don't think we'll see any news until late September at the earliest - my money would be on end of October or early November, but that's just a guess. September is usually planning and budget-setting time for our company - I would think that, over the next month, our JV partner will be gathering their internal approvals for the budget to spend with us over the next year (of course, this is pure speculation, as they may have done this already). If this then has to go to a Board meeting, that might be mid-October, and so on - the weeks soon go. But it's still only three months since the announcement that we'd be working on a JV.

So, I'm not holding my breath, but I'm sure something will be happening before Christmas, and am happy to sit quietly and wait, and ignore these trading ups and downs (apart from looking for opportunities to top up).

Obviously all of this IMHO, DYOR etc etc

I think I said that I expected company budgets for next year to be discussed and sorted out this month (September seems to be most companies time for doing this), and then the JV partner may have to prepare their submission to spend the money and put it to a Board meeting, possibly some time in October. So, I think it could be late October or early November (depends when the JV partner's Board meets).

This is all IMHO, as I have no more knowledge than any of us here. It is, of course, possible, that the JV partner already has Board approval and they are simply discussing the details of the new trial - who knows? I suppose all I'm saying is that I think we have a few more weeks to wait yet (and it's only 6 weeks to November 3rd).

Lombiff - didn't you say you didn't feel JV news would be released in September due to them sorting out the finances and much more likely in October ? I seem to remember you saying something like that last month.

ihnc - I think you're right - JV news will definitely be later (I've said before I think it could be as late as November). Results should at least give us an update, though it will probably just be "discussions are progressing . . "

Nope I topped sliced but still have more than half in. I can't see it breaking out today ... been bouncing around 25 - 30p for a few weeks now. Will be buying back in soon.

I still do not feel there will be JV news with the results ... I think JV news will be a few weeks later. NPL 2003 news could also be due anytime but I think also after results.

Only six trading days to results (cash position will be interesting), and (IMO) six weeks or so to JV announcement. Results should include some kind of update about progress with JV and other compounds, so we may get a preview of what's to come. As a result, I suppose we may see some strength in the next few days - if we do, as far as I'm concerned, it will only be the starter, and I will certainly be hanging around for main course and dessert - I might even have a wafer thin mint . . . just one!

Why keep banging on about "a couple of buys" ? as they mean nothing ... I am waiting for the big announcement and the big rise ... between now and then any small buying or selling activity is meaningless.

We could have several blue days and several red days before that happens ... you just need to chill out.
