02/9/2009 14:45 | Was it this thread where I read recently that the stock market was a process by which money is transferred from the impatient to the patient. Now that's a lesson I've learned the hard way! Lol! | shortearedowl
02/9/2009 13:09 | Judging when to take profit can be a nightmare, you see the stock rise 100% or more so take some profit only to see it continue its climb. You say to your self next time I won't be so quick to cash in? Then the next time it happens you don't take profit and the share price falls back? So then you say I will top slice next time and so the process continues. Personally I try and have an idea of what I would like to get for my investment then if it reaches it take the profit, I try not to look back but it is difficult when my early departure could have made me so much more. I believe NPH could quickly go back to £1 on some very positive news that's not to say I would be tempted to take profit if we hit 60p 70p 80p but I will keep some in here for the long term. | quinan
02/9/2009 12:13 | .....Wish I was good at doing that :>( | boobly
02/9/2009 12:11 | Boobly ... LOL was only a thin slice ... and patience WAS needed at 22 - 20p ...it would have been mad not to take some advantage at was close to a 100% rise .. do you not think ? Anyhow i bought half of the top slice back at 34p ... :-P Regards IHNC | ihavenoclue
02/9/2009 11:50 | .......Now if I had said that ...... YOU would have said ................Pati | boobly
02/9/2009 11:39 | Grrrr knew i should have top sliced more at 37.7p but didn't feel the retrace would be this severe and did not want to be out of it. Every share I have is red today. | ihavenoclue
02/9/2009 11:37 | Have a look at this one too folks, its not pharma, but I think it is the most undervalued stock on AIM imho: | fairdeal2008
02/9/2009 11:15 | The MMs sold the stock at 40p and now they buying it back at 28p... Once they have enough from the dip back up it will go... They don't get if a few punters ride onm their coat tails to buy low and sell high, because the majority of punters will do exactly the opposite... | fairdeal2008
02/9/2009 11:14 | oh and just as an aside read this link in Market Makers: | fairdeal2008
02/9/2009 11:08 | Think we just have to accept the machinations of the market whilst they occur. We all know that a positive JV rns will see the share price rerated. I for one don't want to sell at 27p or 27p only to see an share price of 75p or £1 and thus a missed opportunity. And the rerating will be quick and probably not allow reentry unless you are prepared to pay a ruck more for the stock... imho | fairdeal2008
02/9/2009 10:02 | Up again, good to see some strong strong support here. GLA | mike_f
