I did a dummy late in the day to spend £4k and was quoted 1.1. I suspect the placing was in contemplation yesterday and there may have been a concern about availability so there was a good tailwind and the placing at a premium is good support.

So NEO has finished its second day of trading today as second on the top risers board: closing at 1.125p (1p - 1.25p) for the weekend, a rise of 0.25p (28.57%).

ADVFN is showing volume of 14,235,937 shares traded, but that doesn't include these three huge late-reported trades at prices of 0.972p or less:-

I bet they are doing the rounds in London with institutional investors this week and next week. Not fully trading yet.

Institutions will buy this. They are piling into uranium as they know the price is going up. This is a fledgling stock in the right sector, right time, right place, right mine. It doesn't come much cheaper or better than this. Sticky hands and QGC have put in £3.5m at av. price of 0.86p. The only Uranium miner with an advanced mine JORC resource on main market in London close to production.

Long term these are indeed a very interesting investment in a red hot sector with very sound management. The only caveat in the short term is the 'sword of Damocles' held over the stock as with most IPO's. The seed investors or founders of the company hold millions of shares at a price of 0.2p. These are locked in as in most cases but in this case only for a period of 6 months which is a lot shorter than most issues. Whilst news will undoubtedly drive this forward, the price is likely to be extremely unpredictable until this is addressed. Granted not all founding members will elect to sell and some stock will be in 'sticky' hands but there will likely be millions come on to the market next May when some are able to realise a very handsome profit indeed. Time will tell but prudent to be cautious until then in my opinion.

"Phased Receipt of Proceeds from AUO Subscription

Of the total subscription and placing commitments of approximately £4.9 million (gross), £3.50 million shall be paid, and a corresponding amount of shares issued, within 13 months of the date of this Prospectus. Such funds will be paid by AUO Commercial Brokerage LLC (“AUO”) in instalments over this time period in respect of the 406,666,666 Ordinary Shares for which AUO subscribed (the “AUO Subscription Shares”). AUO has given irrevocable undertakings in relation to the AUO Subscription Shares (including, for the avoidance of doubt, the proceeds it will provide during the 12-month working capital period). The phased receipt of such subscription proceeds could result in the deferral of expenditures that would otherwise be made more quickly if the entirety of such proceeds were received in a lump sum upon Admission.

"Neo Energy Metals plc, the near term, low-cost uranium developer, is pleased to announce that it has raised GBP500,000 by way of a Subscription, through the issue of 40,000,000 new Ordinary Shares of GBP0.0001 in the Company (the Subscription Shares") at a price of 1.25 pence per Ordinary Share. This is in addition to the share placings described in the Company's prospectus published on 2 October 2023 and First Day of Dealings RNS announced on 9 November 2023.

Application for the Subscription Shares to be admitted to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange is expected shortly.

Following admission of the 40,000,000 Subscription Shares, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 1,256,371,468 ordinary shares with voting rights. No ordinary shares are held in treasury at the date of this announcement and, therefore, following admission of the Subscription Shares, the total number of ordinary shares in the Company with voting rights will be 1,256,371,468.

Yep. Funds are all over Uranium at the moment. NEO have even been approached by TSX exchange to list in Canada which they are considering. They go big on miners and Uranium. What an opportunity..

Nice raise at 1.25p. Shows you how much the drop yesterday is overdone. Tier 1 class A mine with a low cost profile and near term production and huge scope for expansion. Wouldn't be surprised if institutions get involved and we start seeing some TR1 holdings announced soon. Only second day of dealings. Not even on broker platforms, so buying is limited. Monday it should be available to all. Get in if you can.

Some chunky buys. Could be a bargain. I have heard suggestion of 10x, though that would be well short of 35x I made some years ago in another miner!
