Had STHP been on AIM it would not have survived and we wouldn’t have this potential. Suggestion has been made to me of 10x, though I do wonder why AngloAm walked away at some time in the past

Note that NEO is a Main Market stock, not AIM-listed.

"Market
Main Market"

This obviously stems from the fact that the shell that has been reversed into, i.e. STHP, was itself Main Market.

The main day-to-day difference for investors is that buyers on the market will have to pay Stamp Duty of 0.5% on share purchases (though no Stamp Duty is charged on sales).

A busy first day of share dealing for NEO:-
Volume of 20,694,990 shares traded: that's 1.7% of the shares in issue.

Though the NEO share price has closed at 0.875p (0.75p - 1p), down 0.5p (36.36%) from STHP's suspension price of 1.375p.

But it's not surprising to see significant selling after a multi-year share suspension, as I posted on the STHP thread last week:-

Yes, STHP has been suspended for over six years & two months.
(Time obviously flies when you're enjoying yourself!)

In that period of time some shareholders could potentially have gone bankrupt or died etc., so shares could potentially just be dumped without any consideration of value etc. ..."

"Jason Brewer, Neo Energy Non-Executive Chairman Interview – commences trading on the London Main Market

Abm November 9, 2023

Neo Energy Metals Plc celebrates its commencement of trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.

Neo Energy Metals Plc, the near-term, low-cost uranium developer, is thrilled to open the London Stock Exchange market today. The company is celebrating the re-admission of its enlarged share capital following the completion of a Reverse Take-Over (‘RTO’) and having raised £4.9 million.

By re-admitting its enlarged share capital to the Market today, Neo Energy signals its ongoing commitment to development and increased access to funding as it looks to become an important supplier to the fast-growing uranium sector.

Neo Energy’s initial focus is on Henkries, an advanced, low-cost uranium project in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa with a clear pathway to near-term production. This exciting project has a current estimated mineral resource of 4.7 million pounds of uranium but is wide open for potential new uranium discoveries given less than 10% of prospective ground has been fully tested. The company’s next steps include increasing the project’s Mineral Resources and updating the initial, positive feasibility study ahead of making a development decision within two years.

Neo Energy has joined the market at an opportune time given the robust uranium market dynamics. As one of the most strategic modern commodities, this clean, safe, reliable, and economic energy source is expected to play an increasingly significant role in the generation of green energy. However, while demand for uranium is growing, the market’s fragile supply chain has become apparent from recent global events.

“Our Listing on the London Stock Exchange today marks a very exciting milestone for Neo Energy, in both our development as well as our future growth plans as we focus on building a position as a key supplier of uranium to support increasing world demand, which remains significant due to constrained supply. The Listing will give shareholders immediate exposure to the uranium sector and access to participate in the growth and future potential of Neo Energy.

“We are honoured to join the prestigious ranks of public companies on the London Stock Exchange and are confident that given the high volume of workstreams already underway and planned, Neo Energy will deliver value to all stakeholders.”

Jason Brewer, Neo Energy Non-Executive Chairman"

$30m already spent on defining the asset by Anglo American. Even done trail production at 50kg /hr of ore. They found they got high recovery factors. Price of uranium back then was $5 lb, hence the mine got mothballed.

Looks a good Uranium asset. JORC 4.7Mlbs, 15m from surface. Soft sediment and sandstone deposit, easy and cheap to mine. Surface sampling being done to increase by another 1-2Mlbs.. further work to increase to 10Mlbs. Big investors backing this too. Uranium price is going up. Currently $73 lb.

Yes Savvy.

I think that's because Neo Energy Metals has taken over the NEO ticker from Neovia Financial.

(Neovia then changed its name to Optimal Payments (OPAY), and was subsequently taken private.)

ADVFN's charts will continue to show the NEO share price prior to today (& going back over ten years) as being (about) 61p, so most of them won't be very clear for quite a while.

But I'll continue to periodically put new charts showing only the Neo Energy Metals share price into the header of this thread, which will be more useful.

"Accelerating an advanced, low-cost uranium project towards near term production

Neo Energy Metals plc (previously Stranger Holdings plc), the near term, low-cost uranium developer, is pleased to announce that at 08.00 today its ordinary shares will commence trading on the Main Market for listed securities of the London Stock Exchange plc ('LSE') under the ticker NEO.

As part of a Reverse Take-Over ('RTO') process, the Company raised GBP4.9 million gross of fees and costs through a Subscription for Shares and a Placing of Shares at 1.25 pence per Ordinary Share. The Enlarged Share Capital following Admission will be 1,216,371,468 ordinary shares giving the Company a market capitalisation of c.GBP15m.

OVERVIEW

New strategy - to become an important supplier to the fast-growing uranium sector

-- Initial focus on Henkries, an advanced, low-cost uranium project in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa with a clear pathway to production.

-- Current estimated mineral resource of 4.7 million pounds of uranium, but wide open for potential new uranium discoveries given less than 10% of prospective ground has been fully tested.

-- +US$30m of historical exploration, drilling, test-pitting and mining, metallurgical testwork and pilot plant work and feasibility study completed.

Robust market dynamics - one of the most significant and strategic modern commodities

-- A clean, safe, reliable, and economic energy source expected to play an increasingly significant role in the generation of green energy.

-- Fragile supply chain with significant increases in uranium price forecast.

-- The industry needs to at least double its development pipeline of new projects by 2040 to avoid potential supply disruptions.

Corporate - positioned for growth

-- Raised GBP4.9 million gross of fees, with funds to be used to complete an updated feasibility study and target an increase in Mineral Resources at Henkries.

-- Board and team strengthened to support new strategy.

Neo Energy CEO Sean Heathcote said, "Neo Energy commencing trading on the LSE as its first uranium explorer is the culmination of a great deal of work by many people. With this milestone reached, we have an extremely exciting opportunity to fast-track our low-cost, near-term Henkries Uranium Project located in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa towards a development decision within two years. In line with this, our next steps include increasing the Project's Mineral Resources, which is highly probable as less than 10% of prospective ground is fully tested, and updating the initial, positive feasibility study.

"We have joined the market at an opportune time. As the cleanest, cheapest, and safest form of mass power generation, interest in uranium is building momentum. With circa 10% of the world's power generation coming from nuclear, rising to almost 20% in advanced economies, current inventories are being depleted and no new deposits are being put into production. More uranium must be mined to feed existing and new nuclear power plants, particularly in Asia where 60% of the new global reactors are under construction. The upside for uranium companies such as Neo Energy is therefore clear.

"Given the high volume of workstreams already underway and planned, we look forward to updating the market regularly and are confident that Neo Energy will deliver significant value to all stakeholders."

DETAILS

Neo Energy holds up to a 70% interest in the Henkries Uranium Project ('Henkries' or 'the Project') in the Northern Cape of the Republic of South Africa. This 742km(2) uranium project with an estimated mineral resource of 4.7 million pounds of uranium has been subject to extensive historical exploration activities as well as a feasibility study, which the Directors believe represents a significant opportunity for the Company's stakeholders to gain exposure to the uranium exploration and mining sector.

The other 30% interest is owned by Wavecrest Proprietary Capital Limited, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa, and which holds its interest in accordance with South Africa's Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment legislation. ..."
