29/8/2024 14:33 | He's made 25 posts about AMOI just on ADVFN today alone. As I posted yesterday there's probably a group of them that have £100 in 100 very small cap shares AMOI is one of them capped at only £600K. They do a couple of buys forcing an illiquid stock to become a top riser and mug PIs jump on through FOMO. However because they only have a small amount in these stocks the gains they're making is not that much. Overall across their 100 stocks they are down. | pwhite73
29/8/2024 13:57 | how do you know lol! | jon389

29/8/2024 06:43 | Shorting and spread betting are two different types of financial instruments. PIs spread bet meaning they bet on a share price to move in a certain direction. There is no actual buying or selling of real shares. Shorting is the borrowing of real shares then physically selling them into the market to drive the price down. When the price is down you then buy the real shares back for a cheaper price and return them to the lender. Nobody lends or is even allowed to lend real shares to ordinary PIs. | pwhite73
29/8/2024 06:22 | You can short shares by spread betting is my point. And it's tax free. | runster
28/8/2024 21:24 | No there isn't. By law spread bet and CFD companies have to publish what percentage of retail investors lose money at the top of their website. Their published figures are 70% - 80%. The reality is about 90%. Click on any of the links and the percentage loss is at very the top of the page. | pwhite73
28/8/2024 17:30 | There's always spread betting and CFDs? | runster
28/8/2024 17:26 | Blaikie has, apparently. On NEO. | runster
28/8/2024 16:52 | runster - You are 100% correct because almost all AIM/small cap stocks are forward selling discount placing shares 24/7. To short these stocks is a near certain 100% winner. Unfortunately this is why as a PI you can't short AIM stocks only MM who are holding discount placing shares can. Any PI who tells you he/she has opened a short on an AIM/Small cap stock is a liar. | pwhite73
28/8/2024 16:45 | Surely, PWhite, there is a winning formula - it is to short 100 aim stocks at £100 each. As you say, all aim stocks are fraudulent and aggressively dilutive. There's your answer. | runster
28/8/2024 14:32 | Citys2874 - "i bought INDI and gained 80 percent....i don't do too bad with my technical charting and analysis" Yes but 80% of what. If you invest £100 across 100 very low cap companies it will cost you £10,000. You are bound to pick up a few big rises or even multi-baggers but overall you will still be down on your £10,000 as the others fall, dilute you into oblivion or get suspended "pending clarification of the financial situation". There are no winning formulas at this end of the market. Its about spotting scams and companies pretending to be what they are not and steering well clear. | pwhite73
28/8/2024 14:14 | EUZ and KRS very much under the radar, i love buying at the bottom of shares, i bought INDI and gained 80 percent....i don't do too bad with my technical charting and analysis | citys2874
28/8/2024 14:07 | So which one is it? EUZ? KRS? Or INDI? Relentless! | ct8637 |
