Bedtime you don't have a clue what your talking about,so why make a comment about Jim Mellon?
Especially when its abundantly clear from your low quality posts that you clearly could not even understand the difference between someone whom has made millions from buying undervalued assets from that of a toffee apple.

Amazing!

i have over 50,000 of these - the market valuation of neo is just too low - for very very rough comparisons datacash has a valuation of 216.91M.

25cent, the fact he's fabulously wealthy doesn't exclude the possibility he needed the money. It does alter what he might have wanted the money for, though!

For example:

"Further to an announcement on 26 January 2009, Speymill has obtained interim financing by way of a committed loan facility of £3.3 million ('the Loan') from two directors of Speymill, Jim Mellon and Bob MacDonald."

I wonder Why Jim Mellon sold his holding at a huge loss after only holding them since July?
He bought 5 million shares back in July and sold them in December at a huge loss?
Kinda makes you wonder!

Dan the difference is a tin of beans is a fixed parameter.
If you us this fixed parameter against a ever-changing business situation its a false opposition!

Lets look at the potential pitfalls that cold derail Neo that could never happen to a tin of beans.
The bank/s holding the $60 million goes under.
The failure of the prepay card
The failure of the US to drop the deferred charges in July?
Fall in onlime money transfer business due to the credit crunch!

I really dont see how any of that would affect a tin of beans even if they were on offer at 1p a tin?

See what i mean? not really the same thing is it, although i understand what your trying to say, but my point is that its a lot more complex than a simple tin of beans, or even the ones with suasages in as well ;-)

Totally agree dan1man, that's why you have to DYOR to know exactly what you're buying. I'm sure you'll agree that you're just as likely to get food poisioning from an established brand (BARC, RBC,) as from an own label.

PS I also like dining with the "right" people -see this afternoon's holdings rns

I like what you say Danwaits, but the thing with Heinz beans is you KNOW they're good. They engender brand loyalty.

What's you're really doing is buying Tesco own-brand beans and hoping they're as good as the real thing.

They may look the same, but they could have some hidden ingredient that is bad for you.
