It’s an upcoming UK bank IPO. Not sure when they will IPO but I am aware that they currently have grown to a significant size; about 10% of the UK retail banking market.

Paying Farage say £1m would probably be cheaper than X months/years of legal hassle. As I understand it a top London lawyer for vases like this might charge £1000/hour !, & if there are admin./support tasks then those tasks get billed as well of course.

Although perhaps play bluff with Farage since he surely has not got the money to pay his legal costs for this legal case. And Coutts revealed I think that Farage was not very rich.

NatWest has drafted in City law firm Addleshaw Goddard to defend a looming legal challenge brought by Nigel Farage over debanking.

David Engel, a reputation and privacy lawyer, has been tasked with fending off the former UKIP and Brexit Party leader in the High Court.

Mr Engel is described on Addleshaw Goddard’s website as being a specialist in “contentious privacy and data protection issues, including data breaches, civil claims and litigation risk under GDPR”.

Proceedings are yet to be lodged against the bank, although Mr Farage is pursuing NatWest over the closure of his accounts at its private bank subsidiary Coutts in June last year.

Mr Farage has appointed Mayfair-based Grosvenor Law for his claim, a firm that is also representing Michelle Mone and Doug Barrowman in their dispute with the Government over allegedly defective PPE.

The move by NatWest to hire Addleshaw Goddard suggests the bank is ready to take on Mr Farage in the courts amid a change in the senior ranks at NatWest.

A new chief executive, Paul Thwaite, and chairman, Rick Haythornthwaite, have been appointed to lead the lender, while Coutts also hired Emma Crystal as chief executive.

Don't believe that will happen. Either the pension increases will slow down or the allowance will rise. Suicide for any party to let it happen (irrespective of whether it should or not).

Here's the link - quite shocking that in a couple of years, a pensioner on nothing more than the state pension will be liable to tax/ tax return.

Share options for directors/managers.

Does anyone understand what the exercise price is, since I wasn't able to see that basic info ?

Considering the shambles of management over previous months and years is it right that the directors/managers enrich themselves at the cost of shareholders?

Polar fox: I doubt the tories will lose any more votes, they are already down to more or less zero.... So if they had any patriotic backbone they should change the tax laws so that any REALLY BAD medicine is doled out to us all as they are not going to get back in anyway...
