05/6/2018 15:28 | We need some good news, ie, Ofgem decisions in NG's Favour or JP telling Ofgem where to get off and concentrate on the US business. However, I believe that to be wishful thinking as Ofgem are out to screw NG and JP hasn't got a good track record of standing up for NG. IMO | newbank

01/6/2018 18:54 | I'm pretty sure they just feather their own nest and are sometimes less than sincere in the process. I always ignore Deutsche notes re NG. | bountyhunter
01/6/2018 18:48 | Are Deutsche serious, who needs these people. | coxsmn
01/6/2018 15:54 | Philanderer, Deutsche had a £8.50 hold from 6/12/17. Upgrading from sell to Hold. It then reiterated the TP ie no change at £8.50 on 8th March and then again on 18th May. So no real upgrade as they have made it very clear that they are extremely negative on NG. Always have been. | newbank

31/5/2018 13:44 | Mark1000, 50% of National Grid business is in the US and due to rise significantly in the future making the U.K. business small in comparison. Earnings are in US$. Hence the start of getting out of Gas Distn and investing in the US. Board decision to plough money into the US business as it’s more friendly to business. One of the few good moves that the Board has done. If the Regulator is making it hard to earn on investments, if any future Marxist Gov takes control or heavily restricts earnings from Utilities it makes sense for NG to say that they are not a Charity and they would prefer to do business in a Country where profit is not a dirty word. | utyinv
31/5/2018 12:52 | I am guessing - weakness could it be in part the strength of the dollar - great for us in the uk - but for the US investors the sterling earnings gives less dollars - the ex rate has recently fallen in the last two months from 1 40 to 1.33 with the oprospect of further falls as slow growth in the uk will put on hold any further interest rate rises in the near term. | mark1000

29/5/2018 16:36 | Action, Have you read the Zacks Rank 5 Strong Sell list, published on Friday 25th May? One of the five is National Grid I have noticed a decline in shorts over in the USA to extreme lows and IMV these guys are borrowing shares off institutions in the hope of shorting them well below the 30.4p divi. This is what they reported on Friday: National Grid plc NGG is a distributor of electricity and natural gas. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for its current year earnings has been revised 4.5% downward over the last 30 days. Parasites call to mind :( | newbank
