02/1/2023 10:37 | On the coach as I type. Train strike meant I need to spend two nights in a hotel and to travel by coach. At Victoria Coach station it's pumping. They also have double decker coaches as I saw one going to White Tree via Bristol. There was also a Flixbus which was green. | casholaa

23/12/2022 19:57 | What’s missing is the CEO’s brain. Thoroughly incompetent and out of his depth. Needs to be fired for the loss in value. | buffettjnr
23/12/2022 19:18 | Just seen the latest stock price. Ouch I used National Express every week Monday Morning and returning late Friday. London Stratford to Stansted Airport. 18 months I did this for. Always full both ways. New coaches also. Most drivers were not British born but never had an issue with their skills as drivers. This was pre The Thing. Excellent service and return pre booked was under £20. Compared to parking your car for 5 days for at least £80 three miles from the terminal. Something is amiss for stock to be this low. | claret dragon
23/12/2022 14:11 | NX haven't won anything from the first round of TfGM Franchises in Manchester announced this afternoon. NX bid for the Bolton Franchise, but both large Franchises have been won by Go-Ahead Group, Bolton (currently Rotala) & Wigan (Currently Stagecoach) | winston270
22/12/2022 14:46 | NX pay their staff the National Living Wage, not that many of its staff fall under that category. NXWM is currently in the process of agreeing a circa 14%+ payrise for its bus drivers (new & existing) from Jan 23, this to help mitigate the chronic driver shortages they are currently facing. Fuel prices aren't currently an issue, as Transport Groups hedge their fuel requiremnts & buy a couple of years in advance to fix costs. NX needs to do a bigger deal in my opinion to drive profit growth to prove they can manage their debt levels without a cash call, however, their hands are fairly tied as they can't take on more debt & their paper isn't currently worth what it was at the time of the proposed Stagecoach takeover. Maybe a friendly merger with First Group is the only option. | winston270
22/12/2022 14:20 | Debt is an issue as is the planned 10% lift in minimum wage in April and the oil price. Lack of non Uk workers has impacted as well on drivers and those being driven.Could the market be putting NEX up for sale?Directors have bought at higher prices.Hold for me | chester9
22/12/2022 13:16 | Personally, id be adding at these levels. Not intended as investment advice. Could be worse, you may have been bullish on tesla past couple months. Current p/e sub 50 now and heading lower methinks. | creddy

22/12/2022 09:52 | In the West Midlands, NXWM's bus fares are some of the cheapest in the country I.e. £2.40 for a single adult journey & £4 for a daysaver day ticket, you can travel in to neighbouring Staffordshire, Warwickshire & Worcestershire on NXWM's routes that cross the WM boundary. They have been frozen at this level the past few years & are being kept at this level until at least 2025 with funding from WM Mayor. | winston270
21/12/2022 19:29 | The cost of a bus ride outside of London is shocking. | casholaa

21/12/2022 09:41 | Dope007, Yes, the main concerns are around NX debt levels being well above 2.5x. Bus fares in the West Midlands aren't rising, they've been deliberately kept low & frozen for past few years, I believe it has now being agreed with WM Mayor to freeze bus fares until 2025 to stimulate passenger numbers, however, operators will now receive some support against rising costs going forward. For NX, their biggest profit generators are the US & Alsa, UK coach was making good returns pre-Covid too, that seems to be bouncing back strongly aided by the rail strikes. | winston270
21/12/2022 09:01 | Thanks Winston. A very generic note then based essentially on debt levels and inflation ignoring that part of inflation is increasing bus and rail fares | dope007
21/12/2022 08:23 | If I had more money, I’d buy. Waiting for something in my stocking | buffettjnr
21/12/2022 08:10 | Must be the bottom, nearly topped up yesterday after buying day before thinking it would bounce. A lot of shares look pretty much on sale now, not often these opportunities arise. | brut winky
20/12/2022 15:33 | Yawn. Just buy more | buffettjnr
20/12/2022 15:05 | Rising cost inflation & higher interest rate concerns, resulting in slower than expected earnings growth going forward. Concerns that slower profit growth will be unable to deleverage the Group sufficently by itself. | winston270 |
