Surely this is about quality and time. We all know there are lots of pointless jobs like the inspector checking they go off on time. That's the kind of wasted productivity that dogs this country. Pay people well but have meaningful jobs and embrace technology. The post office are on strike so what? I'll get my parcel later but so what? A robot can drive a train for free? And better.Buses have lost drivers but they will come back as the pointless jobs disappear and in 10 years we'll the buses will drive themselves. To truly understand the future you must accept a lot of the clip board stuff belongs with the dinosaurs. The future is meaningful jobs that automation can not replace. Take care all

To the person who ticked me down - I'd hazard a guess and say you've never had to rely on NX WM buses recently. The major problem doesn't seem to be a lack of drivers - it seems inaction by their control room as regards the data they must be receiving from buses. In the 'good old days' when they had a physical inspector in the city centre then if 3 buses arrived together bunched on same route then:One would be sent back non-stop 'Out of Service' to the remote terminus. One would be sent back as an '#E' bus that'd terminate perhaps two-thirds along the route once it got past the busy section of route. One would be sent back as normal. The above alleviated the bunching. What happens now? - nothing - all 3 run back for the full route in convoy and are caught up to by a fourth bus on same route. Apparently no monitoring in control room despite all the modern technology available.Another example - I know a chef who catches a late night bus from city centre at end of shift. He gets to stop a few mins early just in case. A few days ago before he got there he saw the rear of bus leaving the terminus stop more than 5 mins early. Apparently no monitoring in control room.Well that's my last mention about the NX WM buses on this thread. Until last week I was still using their services if I had a drink - but for that now am using black cab or Uber - sod the extra cost, I wish to get home unstressed after having a relaxing visit to a drinking establishment or two. Please feel free to tick me down :-)

Good luck. As regards their biggest bus operation in UK it seems to have returned back to the chaotic state it was in last Autumn. Seems they didn't learn from the situation then - either that or they just don't care about passengers....National Express 'as useful as chocolate fireguard' - bus services across Brum slammed by passengershttps://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/national-express-as-useful-chocolate-25096122In my recent experience the services have definitely deteriorated - in other ways in addition to reliability. They recently started using contactless card payments for any required ticket ( - previously it was just tap and go for each journey). Got on one of their buses a few weeks ago and the driver didn't know how to issue a ticket if you wanted to pay by contactless. Also was on one bus where the driver changed the bus number after leaving city centre without telling passengers. Passengers not too impressed when it veered off on the other routeDespite it being more expensive then I gone back to using car and paying car park charges.

I'm not sure they need to go that far if they're after 30%.

That 2.35 prediction looks more likely now.

Let's not forget it needs to be a sizable holding so to a aquire large stake the price would need to rise significantly to create the liquidity to do that and no one needs to make their intentions clear until the size hits 30%. We know from recent history of the last 15 years what the company is really worth!

If there is a forthcoming bid it'll need to be significantly above 2.35. If it hadnt been for covid and putin, these would be trading around 4 squid right now. All imho.
